Gwynfor Roberts appears again
As Gwynfor drives a white van towards the garage,
Y Deri temporarily closed
Garry sees the notice on the Deri’s door and investigates.   Inside, Gemma and Ed are cleaning up, and cannot smell a trace of the petrol now.
Gemma is getting nervous
When Garry bangs on the door, Gemma is scared that it is the police;  Ed lets Garry in and tells him they are “spring-cleaning”, then jokes, “We tried to burn it down and we’re hiding the evidence!”
Garry hands over lots of money
Garry hands over a bulging envelope of cash, commenting, “I shall want a wedding and a half for all this!”   After he has gone, Ed tells Gemma, “The best thing is to hand them the truth on a plate, and they’ll never believe it!”
Jinx and Ffion, happy to be back together
Ffion is overjoyed that Jinx is back, and as they walk hand in hand from home they meet Hywel, who reminds Jinx of everything he has to do at CwmFM.   When Jinx hurries off, Hywel asks Ffion how she is, “After last week,” and tells her that if the drinking is a problem, she needs advice.
Ffion does not want any advice
Ffion replies that she does not need advice, as she did not drink anything.
Ed is getting annoyed as he cannot contact Sioned;  Gemma is worried, and asks, “Would she call the police?”
"Go and get Mark to keep quiet!"
Ed tells her to go and talk to Mark, as they are looking at a couple of years in prison.   She eventually agrees to go and see him.
Ffion becomes angry with Gaynor
The council are coming to inspect the school, and when Ffion sees Gaynor she says, “Do you get a kick discussing people’s business with Hywel over the spag bol?”   Gaynor responds that she should not bottle things up, but talk to Jinx about them.
Jim tells DJ there is no chance of work at the farm
Jim walks into the café with a box file, and sees DJ, who asks if there is any work going at the farm, and Jim turns him down.   Then Hywel and Jinx come in, discussing the radio station;  Hywel suggests some kind of bingo, and says Eifion as chairman of the rugby club might have a slot.   When Jinx expresses surprise, Hywel tells him, “There’s going to be a ‘coup d’etat’ – Dai’s days as chairman are over!”
"What about last week?"
Then he changes the subject and asks how Ffion is, “After last week.”   Jinx looks blankly at him, so Hywel explains about Ffion’s difficult week and the vodka bottle incident.   “I know it’s not nice, but I had to tell you!” he says.
When Gemma arrives at Mark’s she asks him if he is going to tell anyone about the fire.
Gemma wants to know if Mark will shop them to the police
“Ed wants to make sure you’re not going to the police.   I made such a mess of things!”   She stays for a cup of tea, then Mark brings downstairs two bags of her stuff, and tells her, “There’s nothing to say – there was no fire.”
Cadno at work by the cowshed
Cadno is busy, feeding the cows, when DJ arrives there and asks if there is any work for him, as the silage needs cutting.   In the end he agrees to do a week’s work for half a week’s pay, as that is all she can afford.
Jim gives DJ his marching orders
While he is painting the gate, Jim arrives in the APD van and tells DJ that there is no job for him there, despite his protests.   As Cadno has gone into the village, DJ cycles back there.
Garry thinks this wedding business is getting too expensive
At the Deri, as Ed is still hoping that Sioned has kept quiet, Garry comes in again, and Ed spins a tale that the marquee people want a considerable sum of money.   Garry says he will bring it over tomorrow.
"Who are you to lecture me on what's right?"
Gemma scolds Ed that it is not right to take Garry’s money under false pretences, but Ed demands, “Who are you to lecture me on what’s right?   You were willing to burn the place down last week.”
Apparently the school is to have some portakabins brought in next term;  Gaynor tells Ffion she did not mean to upset her.   “It’s obvious you’re not right,” she adds, “How about taking some time off?”
"You want to get rid of me!"
Ffion angrily replies, “You couldn’t make it any more obvious you want to get rid of me!
DJ, tucking into his chips – Cadno approaching
As DJ eats chips on the bench by the alley, Cadno discovers him and is told that Jim sacked him.   She orders DJ back to the farm;  “No-one tells me how to run my own farm!” she rages.
"Did you have a drink?"
When Ffion arrives home, Jinx asks her bluntly, “Did you have a drink?”   She denies it, but Jinx continues, “Then why buy vodka if you have no intention of drinking it?”
Ffion tells him, “I was on my own with Arwen, Gaynor was making life difficult, but you’re home now – let’s forget it.   It was the perfect excuse for Gaynor and Hywel to twist the knife.”   Jinx tells her she must face up to what happened and not stick her head in the sand;  she goes to get changed.
Tempers getting frayed at Penrhewl
At Penrhewl, voices are being raised;  “You don’t even own half the farm yet,” shouts Cadno, “I’ll employ him for a whole year if I want!”   She tells DJ to get back to work, then Jim asks her, “Do you think you can run the farm without our investment?”   Cadno responds, “Is that a threat?”
"OK then, where do I start?"
Gemma intends to go and see her friend Claire at Uplands, as she needs to clear her head, but Ed begs her to stay and run the bar, as he is going to act as chef for the next few days.   He cannot do this without her help, and she agrees;  “Where do I start?” she asks him.
"I swear I would not have drunk a drop of that vodka!"
Ffion assures Jinx that she does not want him to think there is a big problem;  she would not have drunk a drop of that vodka, “I swear on Arwen’s life,” she affirms.
