Jinx is unhappy about this resignation
Ffion is putting the finishing touches to her resignation e-mail, and Jinx asks if she has any last-minute doubts.   “I’m just making sure it reads right,” she replies, “It’s not every day I do this.
"There — I've resigned!"
There, done, I’ve resigned!” as she presses “Send”.   Jinx comments that he might accept her decision if they had decided together.
"I need this delivery!"
Ed is on the phone;  “I know the payments are late, but I need this delivery – what am I supposed to do?”
Ed tells Gemma she means the world to him
Then he appears to try to be friendly towards Gemma, and thanks her for staying to help.   “What choice do I have?” she says, and Ed tells her she means the world to him, and they have to stick together now.
Sheryl gets a mystery parcel
Mark delivers what he calls “an interesting parcel” to Sheryl at the salon, and she tells him it is from Wil, but he comments, “It doesn’t have a Canadian stamp on it.”
At school, Courtney and her friend Elliw look at a mobile phone and are told to put it away by Gaynor;
"It would have been nice to hear it in person"
then Ffion arrives and Gaynor remarks, “It would have been nice to hear it in person, rather than by e-mail.”   Ffion replies that she told Gaynor last week, and hopes that she will be able to leave at half-term.   “How am I supposed to find someone qualified by then?” moans Gaynor.
Hywel Llywelyn in computer engineer mode
Siôn has trouble with his laptop, and Hywel diagnoses some kind of virus;  he jokes, “You’ve not been looking at dodgy sites, have you?” which brings a vehement denial from Siôn.   He is anxious to e-mail an application for for the clinic to Iolo, and reveals to Hywel that he is suffering from OCD and needs encouragement to apply, as his confidence is low.
Gemma upsets coffee down Iolo's shirt
Iolo walks into the Deri and asks Gemma for a coffee;  as she is about to hand it to him, Ed starts hassling her about the dishwasher, and she accidentally knocks over the cup, all down Iolo’s shirt.
Iolo tries to play down the whole incident
Iolo rather calmly leaves the pub, with Gemma in hot pursuit;  he says it is not important and just wants to get home.
Mark hears about the threats Ed has been making
Mark, on his round, sees them talking, and Gemma explains to him about what Ed told her when she wanted to leave, that he would tell the police about her fire-raising attempt.   Mark is upset;  “Did you really think I’d back him up?”
Sporty Ffion urges the girls into action
Ffion is leading a games lesson in the school field;  Courtney is concerned that Elliw is not her usual boisterous self.
"You're pregnant?"
She simply says she is unwell, but Courtney replies, “You don’t mean — you’re pregnant?”   Elliw tells her to be quiet.
"You must tell someone," says Courtney
“You must tell someone,” says Courtney, and Elliw’s response is, “I’m telling you!”
Jinx and Ffion argue through the fence
Meanwhile, Jinx has arrived outside the fence, and is told by Ffion that he should not be there.   Jinx urges her, “At least, work your notice, to give us time to plan,” and as she goes off to continue the lesson, shouts after her, “You have to think about it some time!”
Siôn’s laptop has been repaired, when Hywel receives a call from Sheryl who has the same problem, which occurred when she received the e-mail from Siôn.
Hywel thinks Siôn's apology had better be rephrased
“But I didn’t send her an e-mail,” he protests, adding, “Tell her I’m sorry for infecting her!”   Hywel thinks that would be better slightly rephrased.
"You've got coffee on your t-shirt as well"
Iolo is frantically scrubbing his stained shirt, when Siôn’s e-mail arrives, then there is a knock on the door;  Mark asks him to take in a parcel for Gwyneth, who is not at home, and remarks that he has a coffee stain on his t-shirt.
Iolo's desperation to get his clothes clean
He dashes back to the kitchen, takes off the t-shirt and begins trying to clean it too.
Courtney denies any knowledge
Ffion asks Courtney at school if everything is all right with her friend Elliw, but Courtney says nothing.   Then Ffion goes to see Gaynor, who is sorting out International Week.   Gaynor say she will not stop Ffion leaving at half-term, but encourages her not to rush into a decision.
Ffion's opinion is that, "It's time to go"
Ffion tells her, “It’s time to go,” and at Gaynor’s suggestion, agrees to go and see Elliw’s father, as Gaynor has also noticed a big change in her behaviour.
Siôn offers much-needed support to Iolo
Siôn takes a paper copy round to Iolo, and says that they can fill in the form together;  he also tells Iolo that he has heard from Huw, who is now safely in London.
Hywel has sorted out Sheryl’s laptop;  “I should have been suspicious when I saw Siôn’s message was in English,” she says.
Sheryl was trying to keep this under wraps
Then Hywel cannot find where he put his keys, and looking under some wrapping paper, sees the contents of Sheryl’s parcel – a book, entitled, “Life and Love after Rape”, apologises profusely and hurriedly leaves.
The Connect4 expert concentrates
Arwen is enjoying a game of Connect4 with Jinx when Ffion arrives home, and Arwen chatters away to her.   Jinx complains, “Don’t make it sound as if I am overreacting – you didn’t include me.   There is such a thing as meeting in the middle.”
" I feel terrible about it"
“There is no middle ground,” Ffion insists, “I want to leave, but Gaynor wants me to stay, and I feel terrible about it.”   Jinx tells her it is not too late to make a compromise.
Ed is outside the Deri, talking to Hywel on the phone about his laptop, which is showing the same symptoms.
"You don't have any right to mistreat her!"
Mark comes across, and demands, “Oi!   What have you been telling Gemma?   Did you think I wouldn’t find out?   I would never do that to Gemma, and you don’t have any right to mistreat her!”
Gaynor, walking home, has some good news in a phone call from Ffion – she will stay on until Christmas.
Sheryl is not very receptive to Gaynor's idea
Then she asks Sheryl if Wil could record a presentation for International Week.
Hywel takes Ed’s laptop away, then Ed starts on Gemma, “The laptop’s crashed, I got a mouthful from Mark.   What if he opens his mouth about me threatening to go to the police?   I was only doing you a favour – putting a roof over your head!
"No-one else wants you!"
No-one else wants you;  if Mark thought anything of you, he wouldn’t have finished with you.   You’re stuck with me!
"If the Deri goes bust, it's over for both of us!"
If the Deri goes bust, it’s over for both of us!”

Mark's reassuring message in her hour of need
Dejected, Gemma has a text from Mark, “Call me if you need to talk to someone.”
