Eifion and Angela overflowing with enthusiasm about their luxury tent
Eifion and Cadno return with the boys, full of enthusiasm about their break, and informing Cadno that they are going to get a big, luxurious tent, “The customers will get something they won’t find anywhere else,” says Angela.   “I’m sure they will,” remarks Cadno.
Computer whizz-kid Hywel will design a "Boutique Holidays" website
Later, Hywel is at the farm, as Eifion and Angela want him to design a website for their “Boutique Holidays”.   Cadno mentions planning permission, and Angela says she will look into it.   Soon afterwards, Eifion leaves for his rugby match, with Angela to cheer him on, leaving Cadno with the children.
Rhys gets an ultimatum:  buck your ideas up, or you're out
Rhys is summoned to the office of his tutor, Ieuan Dodd, who is highly disappointed with his coursework, and wants him to do the essays again before the start of next term;  he is a good player, but the rest of the time he is lazy.   Rhys only wants to be at the college for the rugby, and says he has no time to redo the work, as he plays for Cwmderi, so he informs his tutor that he will not be coming back.   Ieuan tells him, “You’re a fool, but its your decision.”
Siôn's investigation leads to identification of the likely culprit
Siôn is investigating what happened to the charity’s money, and assures Megan that when the account was being “hacked”, Colin was on the way to see Lois in Cardiff.   Further questioned, Megan reveals that all her passwords are stored together, and then she realises that it must be Gethin, who was helping with her accounts;  she thought she could trust him.
Dani is in the shop, telling Colin how one of the rugby team is missing some money, and suspects Colin;  he protests his innocence, and as Gethin walks in, he again tells Colin that it will get sorted out.
Colin cannot figure out how he can prove his innocence
Gethin is now feeling guilty, and brings Colin a cup of coffee;  Colin worries that the whole village have branded him a thief, again.
Gethin admits what he has done, and tells Megan exactly why he did it
As Siôn and Megan are discussing what to do, Gethin arrives at the shop and confesses what he has done.   He tells Megan, “While I am at the Soup Kitchen, on the front line, helping, talking to people, sharing experiences, you’re in the chapel and the shop, being smug, prancing around with your OBE, doing nothing of value.”
He had tried to help the homeless girl, but all Megan did was make the right noises.   He felt angry, he tells her, and says he will pay back the money.   Gethin reminds Megan that she should make a public apology to Colin, as his reputation has been ruined.
Hywel is very displeased with Rhys's lacklustre performance
At half-time Hywel is angry because Rhys has got too aggressive and has been sent off;  he will not play for the rest of the match, but the team manage to win without him.   Eifion tells him to concentrate on the game – college can wait.
Siôn and Megan go to see Colin, and urge him to accompany them to the Deri.
Megan publicly puts the record straight — Colin is innocent
Once there, they wait until the rugby team arrive, and then Megan loudly announces that Colin is not the thief, much to his relief;  she has already been persuaded by Gethin not to mention his part in this, as he reminds her she has lied to the police about it.   A compromise is reached:  Gethin will help in the shop, and Megan and Siôn will go with him to help with the Soup Kitchen in Llanelli.
Angela and Eifion are surprised as Cadno, suitably spruced up, joins them at the bar, congratulates Eifion on his performance – “You’re a hero!” – and kisses him.   “The next game, I’ll come, and bring Bobi,” she says, smiling, as Angela looks rather discomfited.
Cadno proves she is a match for Angela, but Angela is not happy

27 March 2014

Garry has just arrived back from a business trip when he sees something through the window which causes him to rush outside;  Kevin is in the street.   Garry shouts to him, “It’s against the law to lie in court!   You’re going to put Sheryl through hell, and you’ve already done enough damage!”
Garry has a conversation with Kevin in the street
Kevin reminds him that he and Sheryl almost killed him, but Garry continues, “It’s a pity we didn’t finish the job!   You’re not man enough to accept your punishment – you know what they do in prison to rapists…”   Kevin says he has done nothing, and will prove it.
Megan tells Siôn about the missing money, and admits her deception
In the café, Megan tells Siôn all about the missing money, and how she lied about it.   He says that they will find out who is responsible.
Back at Bryntirion, Kevin tells Diane that he has no home, no friends, nothing.   Then when he looks at the Caffi’r Cwm website, with its photo of Meic and Debbie, he has an idea;  he calls Elin over, and tells them how Debbie was the biggest mistake of his life, as all she wanted was money and the café.   He tells her of his father giving him up for adoption, and how Meic and Debbie have been having an affair, since the wedding, and they keep “winding him up” about it.   His father is so sly that they created the rape story, with Sheryl’s help, to get rid of him.
Elin appears somewhat astonished to hear of Meic's and Debbie's torrid affair
“It would not surprise me if they were at it before we got married,” he adds, and Elin says that he must keep quiet about it, so she can present the evidence at the last minute.
Poor old cash-strapped Colin is reduced to counting his coppers
Colin is getting into serious financial trouble, counting his coppers, and tempted to help himself from the shop till.
. . . and is sorely tempted to dip into the shop till
He goes to see Iolo, repairing a leaking pipe at the Deri, and asks to borrow £300, with some tale about a birthday present for Esyllte’s birthday.   Iolo reluctantly lets him borrow his bank card (PIN2714) to withdraw the money.
Colin takes Iolo's card from his wallet, left unattended in his jacket in the Deri
Gemma is packing her clothes for her trip, and when she cannot find her Rail Pass, Mark finds it down the sofa and pockets it.   She is panicking, but he sits her down and tells her that she will probably find someone else while she is there, or perhaps will not come back;  after all, there is nothing in Cwmderi for her.
When Mark retrieves the "missing" Pass from his pocket, Gemma is furious
She assures him that she loves him, and will be back, at which point he produces the “lost” Pass;  she then is understandably furious, and storms off to the waiting taxi.
Dani tells Garry that she feels she is always in Sheryl’s shadow, but he says it is only natural for him to worry about Sheryl, and as they are going to the bank, he suggests that they see about setting up a joint account, “But don’t spend it all on shoes, bags, makeup and pink things.”
“But don’t spend it all on shoes, bags, makeup and pink things.”
Colin enters the Deri, as he is putting Iolo’s card back into his wallet;  Megan, sitting nearby, jumps up and accuses him of being the thief who stole her money.   “You stole my bank card and withdrew the cash!”
Despite having no evidence, Megan insists Colin is the thief
Siôn warns her not to ring the police and make unfounded accusations, Colin says that it was Iolo’s card, and Iolo confirms that it was with his permission.   Nevertheless, Megan goes on and on about it.

Back home, Colin admits that the truth is he has been gambling online, lost a lot of money, and is now branded a thief.   Gethin tries to reassure him;  “Don’t worry, it will sort itself out.”

26 March 2014

Meic visits Sheryl, telling her that today’s hearing is a step closer to her getting justice, but she is worried that if the people of the village do not believe her, what chance is there of convincing anyone else.
Diane, in her dressing gown, definitely does not want to go to the court
Elin arrives early at Diane’s, and persuades her that she should be in court, supporting Kevin;  Diane reluctantly agrees, although she would rather be choosing a toilet for her new en suite.   Elin triumphantly announces to Kevin that Auntie Diane will be there.
Megan has a frightening conversation with DS Fielding
Megan sees DS Fielding outside her shop, waiting for her;  she is told that she is investigating missing money from the charity.   Megan is flustered and lies that she put the money in the wrong account, as she was tired and overworked;  when asked about a £300 discrepancy in the amounts, Megan says she bought a chair and desk with her own money, but DS Fielding asks for a receipt.
Megan says it must be at home, and after the police have gone, she dashes to Meic’s in a panic, admitting that she has lied to the police;  after telling him the whole story, he produces a home-made receipt to cover the amount, calling it “a white lie to protect an innocent person.”
Meic fabricates a convincing-looking receipt for desk and chair
Megan is not convinced she should be doing this, but later, when the police return, she proudly produces the document, which appears not to entirely convince Fielding, but she says that the matter is cleared up, and warns Megan to be much more careful in future.
DS Fielding lets Megan off, although she is not totally convinced
Kevin and Elin enter Court No 2, with Diane complaining behind them;  after the magistrates enter, Kevin pleads “not guilty”, and Elin requests bail, saying that Kevin will be living with Diane until the trial.
Elin applying for bail for Kevin, "who will be living at Bryntirion"
This does not go down well with Diane, who is having second thoughts, and at home afterwards she accused Elin of tricking her, and she will be stuck with Kevin for four weeks.   Elin asks her if she thinks Kevin is guilty, but Diane will not commit herself.
Diane, angry that she has been tricked into having Kevin for four weeks
Later, when Kevin thanks her for her support, and offers to cook her “a special supper”, she says she is going to see her friend Glenys, keen to get away from him.
Iolo is not keen to be in the same house as Kevin,
but agrees in the end to do the bathroom work
In fact she goes to see if Iolo can finish the bathroom work which Dai had started;  he is reluctant to go there and asks Diane if it is the right thing to let Kevin live there.   Diane retorts, “Have some sympathy!” to which Iolo’s response is, “For a guilty man?”   Eventually he agrees to start the work next week.
At the Deri, Debbie is spreading rumours about Megan and the missing money.   By the window, Diane is looking at bathroom brochures with Iolo, and says, “It’s a problem, sharing the bathroom with big, hairy men.”
Iolo looks amused by Sheryl's outburst directed at Diane
Sheryl stalks across to her and says, “You wouldn’t have that problem if you hadn’t taken a rapist in!   You could have refused to have him.   Do you know what I’m going through?”

Meic tells Sheryl that it is like talking to a brick wall, and they leave the Deri, outside which Sheryl comes face to face with Kevin in the street.   Meic warns him he is breaking his bail conditions, but Kevin reiterates that it was simply a mistake, he admitted it and he regrets it.
Meic threatens Kevin that he will call the police

25 March 2014

Kevin cooks Diane breakfast, then Anita visits and is aghast when she sees him there;  she tells Diane she is in danger, but Diane says he has nowhere else to go.
Anita wonders how Diane can offer shelter to Kevin
When Kevin interrupts and says he has done nothing, Anita responds, “Is that why you’re in court tomorrow?”
Sheryl tells Diane to get her hair cut somewhere else
Anita then goes to tell Sheryl, and when Diane arrives for her hair appointment, Sheryl tells her to get her hair cut somewhere else.
Bobi being read his favourite story, while Arthur stares upwards
At Penrhewl, Cadno is reading Bobi a Sali Mali story when Eifion announces that he has booked a “Glamping” break for a couple of days with Angela and the boys, so she can look after the farm.   When Angela arrives, she is very excited and goes off to pack.
Off go the "Happy Glampers" to Cardiganshire, leaving Cadno alone
Shortly afterwards, they leave, and as Marian is also away somewhere, Cadno is left on her own.   She goes to see Eileen, but the shop is closed, so she heads to the Deri.
Gemma announces that she is going “Interrailing” with some of her friends, to celebrate Hannah’s 21st birthday;  they will go to Paris, Nice, Siena and Rome, staying in hostels.
Mark suspects that four weeks apart will finish off their relationship
Mark assumes he can go too, but when she reveals that she will be leaving in two days and will be away for a month, he thinks this spells the end of their relationship;  he suggests going to Benidorm in the summer instead.
Elin Francis, allegedly the best lawyer this side of Swansea
Diane’s niece, Elin Francis, partner in Evans Francis and Evans, “the best lawyer this side of Swansea”, arrives and starts questioning Kevin about the case.   She says there are several things in his favour:  there is no physical evidence, Sheryl did not suffer any bruising, and she let him into the salon.   Elin says it seems that Sheryl did want to see him, despite her boyfriend and the fact that Kevin was getting married.
Kevin tells her that Sheryl changed her mind afterwards, and felt guilty, scared that Garry would find out.   Elin says that the fact she did not shout or scream, despite Garry being nearby, suggests that she wanted to sleep with him.   Also living with Diane will strengthen his case – if a high-profile councillor supports him, the jury probably will.

Cadno says she has enough to worry about without getting involved
with Sheryl's rape case
Meic finds Cadno in the Deri, and pleads with her to emphasise to the police how scared she was with Kevin at the farm.   She says that she has got enough on her plate at the moment, with Eifion, Angela and the boys;  in any case the court will not let a guilty man walk free.   Meic immediately says, “So you think he’s guilty?” but Cadno tells him she is not going to the police.
Elin is confident that Kevin will walk
Elin has all the information she needs, but asks Kevin if he has any questions;  he tells her his version of the altercation at Penrhewl, where his father assumed that he was about to do something to Cadno, but he insists that he was not.   It was all a misunderstanding, just as it was with Sheryl.   He also informs her that he and Cadno are on good terms now, so Elin is confident that he will walk from court a free man.
Sheryl is at Meic’s, as he tries to get her to persuade Cadno to change her mind and admit how frightened she was.   Sheryl says she knows what it is like to be forced to do something;  she should not have to convince Cadno, and she is not going to push her , as it is not fair.
Sheryl flatly refuses to put pressure on Cadno, despite Meic's pleading

Tuesday 25 March 2014

24 March 2014

Diane enters the Business Units with her mop and bucket, and is alarmed to find Kevin sleeping on the floor.
Initially, Diane wants Kevin out of the Business Units
He tells her he has nowhere else to go, but she orders him to leave;  “You’ve made up your mind about me, like everyone else,” he says.   After he relates more of his misfortunes, caused by his being “in the wrong place at the wrong time”, she relents, and goes to the Deri to get him a sandwich.
Hywel is jubilant about the new star player in the Cwmderi team
Hywel has a letter from the Welsh Rugby Union, confirming that DJ can play for Cwmderi;  it appears that DJ has been boasting how he was a star player in Ireland.   When Hywel goes to the Deri to tell DJ the “good” news, he seems rather sheepish, Eifion is angry at the thought that a regular player could be replaced by this unknown quantity, and Gaynor asks if anyone has actually seen DJ playing rugby.
Despite his opinion being based only on what DJ has told him, Hywel insists that this will be the salvation of the club.   Gaynor asks DJ if they have Eisteddfodau in Ireland – he would get the crown for “Creative Presentation”!
Gaynor can recognise a "Creative Presentation", even if Hywel cannot
As Hywel leaves, he throws a rugby ball to DJ, behind the bar, but he fumbles and drops it.
When Diane returns to Kevin, he explains to her at great length what has happened;  he had been drinking with Cadno, and back at the farm had to hold her up, as she was drunk.   Then his father appeared and Cadno made a big deal of it, having been caught alone with “a rapist.”
Kevin continues his one-sided version of what happened
“Do you believe, after all I have been accused of, that I would try my luck with Cadno?” he asks Diane, “No-one would be so stupid!   But they don’t want to hear my side, and Sheryl has changed her story, again.”
Eifion cannot see a way to pay the bills, but Angela has an idea
There are financial problems at Penrhewl, as they cannot pay the feed bills;  Angela, who has been sharing “the marital bed” as Cadno puts it, comes up with a suggestion, at first dismissed.
The website which captures Eifion's and Cadno's attention
When she demonstrates with the help of a “Glamping” website, showing a tent sleeping six and with a woodstove, and explains there is a lot of money to be made, both Eifion and Cadno are interested.   Angela tells them that not much space is needed, but the sheep would have to be kept away from the teepees.   Eifion is sold on the idea, but Cadno cannot see it working;  however if it will keep the farm afloat, she will back the idea and help as much as she can.
Kevin continues his rather biased story of how Sheryl still fancied him when he was with Debbie, and how he only went to the salon that night to “get everything out in the open” – but again, wrong place, wrong time.   She has ruined his life, but he feels sorry for her and says she needs help, but not as much as he does.
Diane tells him that leaving the village would be like pleading guilty, so he must fight;  Kevin replies that he is tired of fighting and might as well tie the noose himself.
Diane lies to Hywel about Kevin's presence in the Business Units
Diane says that her niece, Elin, is a lawyer, and they will consult her;  at that moment Hywel comes in and orders the dishevelled Kevin out, but Diane fabricates a story of how she fell down and Kevin rescued her.
DJ considers that Diane has made a very bad move, inviting Kevin to stay
When she gets home with Kevin, DJ, in his apron is far from happy to see him, but Diane confirms that Kevin will be staying for a while.   As Kevin goes up to his room, DJ asks Diane, “Is this a good idea?”

Saturday 22 March 2014

21 March 2014

Eileen hears that Eifion and Marian have come down with flu, so will not be at the wedding;  Sheryl arrives to do the hair of the bride and two bridesmaids.   When this has been done, Courtney takes a picture of the three of them to put on Facebook.
Courtney records the moment for Facebook
Sioned tells Ed that her skin has recovered quickly, so she will not need a hat, but asks him if she is doing the right thing by keeping quiet.
Sioned, in her rather over-the-top curlers, wondering if she is right in keeping quiet
Kevin comes downstairs at Siôn’s, and when told that Britt does not want him here, he likens Siôn to his father, walked all over by Anita, and as a result is told to leave.
Halfway through his toast, Siôn asks Kevin to leave, after he makes comments about Britt
Siôn has received an anonymous £300 donation for the Soup Kitchen.
Iolo is off to the rehearsal, referred to as “childish nonsense” by Colin, and remarks about the leather jacket;  when he has gone, Colin phones the bookie and puts £1,000 on Happy Days in the 1.45pm at Kempton Park.
Sheryl gets back to the salon, and Kevin follows her in;  she warns him he is not allowed there, but he threatens that he will put her and Garry in jail for trying to kill him.
Sheryl is not frightened of Kevin's threats
Sheryl, armed with a pair of scissors, stands up to him, confident that he has no proof, as he told everyone, including the hospital, that his injury was an accident.
At Megan’s shop, Gethin is helping sort the clothes when two visitors arrive – Carla Roberts and Ian Lewis of the Charity Auditor’s Team;  they have been tipped off that she is dipping into Maenan funds, and show her a copy of the relevant bank statement.
The Charity Auditor's team are investigating Megan
She takes them to her house, where she finds that on her laptop, the bank website says the same thing.   She is distraught and does not know what to do;  “I didn’t do this!   You’ve got to believe me!” she begs.
Sheryl arrives at Bethania, and avoids sitting by Sioned;  Sioned remarks to Ed, “She helped pay for new shoes and a bag.”   Sheryl tells Meic that Kevin threatened her, and he says she must tell the police.
Jim, infuriated by Colin's little joke about the rings
Colin pretends to have forgotten the rings, which infuriates Jim;  then he produces the box.   The organ strikes up and the bride arrives with her two attendants.   Sion begins the service, with a chap wielding a video camera standing behind him.
When the “just cause or impediment” part of the service arrives, Sioned stays quiet, but when Siôn gives Jim’s name as “James Hubert Probert”, the sound of a stifled giggle comes from Colin.
The happy couple, and no disruptions to this wedding
In the Deri after the service, Sioned comes over to her mother, and says, “It’s a lovely day, Mam, and you deserve to be happy!”   Eileen is overjoyed, and hugs her daughter for the first time in ages.
Are we witnessing the restoration of friendly relations between Eileen and Sioned?
Siôn tells Gethin about the £300 donation, saying he cannot believe anyone would be that generous.
Just before the Best Man’s speech, Colin rings the bookie, only to be told that Happy Days did not win, and he is £1,000 poorer;  nevertheless, he soldiers on with his speech.
Colin, somewhat crestfallen now that Happy Days has let him down
Kevin gets into the business units, sits on the floor in the dark, and takes swigs from a bottle of some sort of spirit.
The Stark Naked Dudes assemble outside the Deri:  Iolo, Jim, Jinx, Gethin and Ed;  Jinx suggests they could just go home, but in they process.   Eileen wonders where Jim is, but soon sees him with the rest of the Dudes.
Performance of Bois yn Borcyn, Jim, Jinx, Iolo, Gethin, Ed (behind)
They perform their wild gyrations, and just as Jinx appears to whip off his trousers and throw them to the audience, the camera cuts to the laughing, cheering guests.   We do not see whether Gemma succeeds in turning off the lights at the prearranged moment.
