Cadno, not exactly happy to see Jim
Cadno and DJ are busy down on the farm when Jim arrives, much to Cadno’s disgust, but he says he is sorry for interfering, and to make it up to her has ordered a lorry-load of turkey chicks, which will be coming tomorrow.
Hostile reception to Jim's turkey idea
Cadno is furious, as the shed is not secure and the waterpump is not working – apparently Eifion is the only one who knows how to fix it.   DJ goes to try and find Eifion, while Jim is conscripted to help Cadno and is handed a pitchfork.
Carreg Wen again, Dai and Diane this time
Today at Carreg Wen, Dai and Diane are viewing, with Diane saying it would be the ideal home for their retirement.
Dai is not interested one little bit
Dai, however, is not at all interested, continually complaining about his so-called friends unseating him from the chairmanship, after all the years he has devoted to the club.   When Diane tells him to stop whingeing, he says that a new golf putter might ease the pain.
Mark and Gemma meet in the shop
When Mark goes to the shop, he tells Colin he does not feel like going out, then meets Gemma as he leaves;  they exchange only a few words.
"If you're leaving, talk to Mark first!"
Gemma tells Colin there is no point in her staying in the village, but he tells her to go and talk to Mark before she leaves.
Eifion is not interested in helping at the farm, so Jim goes round to talk to him;  Eifion eventually agrees to sort out the waterpump, but says it will cost Jim £50 – “Or you’ll have a shed full of thirsty turkeys!” he threatens.  He also reminds Jim that, legally, he does not yet own a share of Penrhewl.
"Planning permission" immediately attracts Dai's attention
At APD, Siôn tells Dai and Diane that he remembers the current owner of Carreg Wen applying for planning permission some time ago.   Dai suddenly becomes more interested;  “Houses?” he enquires.
They start scheming about the property, and all the money they can make
Diane says that with Bryntirion and the Spanish Villa, they should have enough money, and Dai is envisaging building half a dozen houses in the grounds.   “That would make Eifion and Jim jealous,” he gloats.   Then he reveals that the “Ashurst Masterplan” for his revenge starts at the meeting tonight.
Jim will let him have the money tonight
Eifion soon gets the pump problem sorted and demands his £50, but Jim says he can have it at the committee meeting tonight.
Eifion says it was a good move to leave Penrhewl
As he has a cup of tea with Cadno, Eifion says he feels as if a weight has been lifted off his shoulders, now he has left Penrhewl.  He does express surprise that Cadno let Jim buy those turkeys, but she gives the impression that she thinks it is a good idea.
"I only did it because Ed persuaded me!"
Gemma goes to Mark’s with a takeaway meal;  she makes sure he realises that it was not her idea to fire the Deri, but Ed’s, and he caught her at a moment of weakness.   “I felt so awful, I hated myself,” she tells him, but he replies, “Were you aware of what you were doing?   You could have killed yourself – and others – and could have gone to prison for years!   What have you done, Gem?”
"I've got no chance of understanding you"
When she says that she cannot understand it herself, Mark regrets, “There’s no chance of me understanding you then, is there?
Uproar at the committee meeting
The rowdy committee meeting is going on at the Deri, with Eifion failing to keep the members in order.   As it is the club’s 111th Anniversary they need a suitable celebration;  Dai suggests a dinner and dance, and that they need sponsorship, about £600 for a band, suggests Siôn.
"Put your hand in your pocket!"
Eifion asks where they are likely to find that, and Jim rather bluntly comments, “Put your hand in your pocket!”
"It's nice to have some company"
DJ reports to Cadno that he is going home after his day’s work, and Cadno invites him to stay for dinner, as there is a casserole in the oven.   “It’s nice to have some company other than Anti Marian – you make me laugh!”   She tells him that only a fool would want to turn the clock back now, but she admits that it gets lonely on her own at night.
"What's the matter with Eifion?"
When Eifion goes to get a pint, the others express dissatisfaction at the way he is handling the meeting, and when Dai also heads for the bar, Hywel demands, “What’s the matter with Eifion?   You’d think he didn’t have two pennies to rub together!”   Siôn gives his opinion;  “What a mess – Dai ought to have his old job back.”
"Jim says he got the place on the cheap!"
Dai chats to Eifion at the bar, “You want to be careful what you do at Penrhewl – you don’t want rumours that you’ve undersold.   I heard Jim on the phone to the bank, saying he got the place on the cheap.”
Eifion demands his £50
When Jim comes over, Eifion demands the £50 he is owed, but Jim does not have it, and adds, “You should be grateful I’m buying the farm from you!”

“No, you should be grateful I’m selling it to you!” says Eifion, “Cadno and I worked hard on that place – don’t you ruin it!”
Dai looks satisfied with his stirring
Dai smiles, as he sees his plan beginning to work.
