4 December 2014

Sheryl, back from her wedding job . . .
Sheryl walks back to the salon from her wedding hairdressing appointment;
. . . is watched as she talks to Gethin
a car is following her as she walks through the alley and meets Gethin, who is looking very smart.   As she hugs him, “just as friends”, the occupants of the car are watching.
As she unpacks her bag . . .
As she unpacks the hairdryer from her bag, she hears someone in the salon,
. . . the "heavies" arrive
and is confronted by Dean and his sidekick.
"The only reason is that Brandon is dead!"
In his flat, Garry tells Britt, “The only reason we are here today, that Dani and me are getting married, is that Brandon is dead!”   Britt assures him, “If you two weren’t together, nothing good would have come from Brandon’s death.”
Gethin looks happy . . .
At Bryntirion, Diane takes a photo of Gethin;
. . . until he sees this picture
Catrin reports that the car has arrived just as Gethin receives a text, with a photo of Sheryl tied to a chair in some dark place.
As Dani comes downstairs, resplendent in her wedding dress, Diane describes her as, “A little princess!”
Dani wonders why Gethin is rushing off
but Gethin dashes off, saying he will see them at the chapel.
An expectant hush at Bethania
The congregation are arriving at Bethania, with Gwern taking charge of the rings.
Gabriela is allocated the iPad
Meic asks Gabriela to use his iPad (which seems to have acquired a strange black blob masking the Apple symbol on the back) for filming.
A further message piles the pressure on Gethin . . .
Gethin hurries back to number 7 and retrieves the money, but only has £1,500, and receives another text, “50 minutes.   She’s afraid.”
. . . so he tells Garry that Sheryl has been kidnapped
He heads to Bethania, where he explains to an increasingly irate Garry that he needs another £2,500 as Sheryl has been kidnapped.
The vintage car arrives in the village . . .
Meanwhile, the vintage car carrying the bridal party arrives in the main street,
. . . and stops outside Bethania
and the local inhabitants follow it along the road to the chapel.
“We have to go now, or they are going to hurt her!” urges Gethin.
As Garry leaves on the left, Dani arrives on the right
Garry is about to return to the flat to find the money, when the Trumpet Voluntary begins, and Dani enters, only to find Garry heading for the exit.
"You're supposed to be up there!"
“You’re supposed to be up there,” she says, and Garry, in a complete panic, tells her,
"I'll be back in five minutes!"
“I’ll be back in five minutes – please wait here!”
Once back in the flat, Garry quickly finds the necessary cash and gives it to Gethin, insisting that it will be paid back.
Gethin is scared stiff, and cannot do it
This is when Gethin loses his nerve and says that he cannot face going to pay it, sinking to the floor in tears;  “Come with me,” he pleads.
Garry rages at him, but he is scared and admits he told Dean that he was Garry;  “I’ve been so stupid!” he wails.
Garry concludes that he has to make the payment himself, and orders Gethin to go to the chapel, tell Dani everything, “And make sure she waits for me!”   Gethin, however, goes nowhere and says nothing.
"I'm sorry, there won't be a wedding!"
At the chapel, after a while, Dani has waited long enough, and addresses the guests;  “Thank you all for coming.   I’m sorry, there won’t be a wedding.”
Sheryl, under guard
In the darkness of an industrial unit, Sheryl is tied to a chair, with Dean and his associate, Jazz, waiting.   “You’d better hope that Garry comes to rescue you,” taunts Dean.
"You're two years too late!"
“I doubt that – he’s getting married today,” she replies.   Dean is puzzled;  “You’re his girlfriend,” he says, but she tells him he is two years too late.
"I don't want to hurt you!"
“Someone had better come – I don’t want to hurt you,” threatens Dean, but Sheryl informs him, “You won’t be the first one to hurt me – the last one is serving six years in Cardiff Prison!”
Garry produces the money
There is a knock on the door, and Garry enters, shouting, “Let her go – now!”   Dean replies, “Don’t you work with Garry?   Snow White’s not going anywhere until I get my £4,000!”
Garry pulls the wad of cash from his pocket, and tells them to let her go first, then throws the money up in the air and in the confusion he and Sheryl make their escape.   Garry’s parting comment is, “If I ever hear from you or see your ugly mug again, I’ll kill you!”
Gethin says he has no idea what is going on
Dani, with Dai and Diane, returns to the flat, where Gethin is hiding, and ask what is going on, but Gethin pleads ignorance.
The chapel door is now locked
Garry arrives back in the village, with Sheryl in tow, but finds the door of Bethania locked.
"I saw Garry outside – with Sheryl!"
He meets Dai and Diane, on their way to the Deri, and when Diane reaches there, she announces to all and sundry that she has seen Garry with Sheryl.
Looks like that diet is well and truly finished!
Then Diane orders crisps – and pork scratchings!
When Garry reaches the flat, he realises that Gethin did not tell anyone.
Garry tries explaining, but Dani is not interested
He tries to talk to Dani, “Gethin was supposed to tell you to wait in the chapel – he’s more of a coward than I thought!   He has been cheating a gang of men, and they snatched Sheryl!”
"I thought Sheryl would be involved!"
Dani comments, “Oh, I thought Sheryl would be involved!”
Gethin tells her about the designer handbags
Gethin explains that both he and Garry are mixed up in the fake designer handbag business.
"So you were lying to me!"
Dani realises, “When he phoned the cops the other week, you were lying to me!   I was totally humiliated today – you weren’t there and Sheryl wasn’t there, and everyone knew that!”
"We can still get married!"
Garry urges her to put the dress back on and they can go back to the chapel, but she has other ideas.
As she storms out, Garry, with tears in his eyes, pleads, “Dani, I love you!”
Gethin is warned that Dean will come looking for him
Then he turns to Gethin, revealing that he only gave Dean £1,500 of what he was owed;  “He won’t be happy with that, and will collect the rest from you!”
"Sorry for just turning up"
Dani arrives at Mark’s door and apologises for just turning up.
"You're always welcome here!"
“You know you’re always welcome here,” he assures Dani, and hugs her.
