Contacting the MP is not a good idea
Meic and Gabriella are in the café, where Meic suggests contacting the local MP about the problem, but she replies, “It would only draw attention, and I would be on the first plane out!”
Debbie's interference is unwelcome
Debbie intrudes and tells Gabriella she needs friends under these circumstances, but Gabriella replies that the matter is private and to keep her nose out.
Jim is becoming expert at putting bags of giblets into turkeys
Jim and DJ are boxing up the turkeys, arguing whether Jim has Bonzo or Jimbo in front of him;  after inserting the bag of giblets, Jim says,
"It will be very hard to eat you," he tells the turkey
“Sorry, boy – I’m starting to miss you already.   The first to the trough and the last to leave;  it takes one to know one, but it will be very hard to eat you!”
A routine hygiene test at Penrhewl
Walking outside, he finds an inspector from the Food Standards Agency talking to DJ;
Jim has a suspect in mind
Jim is convinced that someone has reported them to the authorities, and when told that he cannot deliver any of the turkeys, hurries off to confront the one he believes to be responsible.
Dai is tangled up with the duvet
Diane finds Dai tidying the spare bedroom, and wrestling with the duvet;  “Who’s this for?” she asks.   Dai’s response is, “The Queen’s coming for a lie down after her speech!”
Mark offers to pose as Gabriella's boyfriend . . .
Mark comes to Meic’s, apologising for Debbie’s behaviour, and suggesting that he should nominally be Gabriella’s boyfriend;
. . . and assures Meic it will be just "posing"
“If the Gestapo come looking, I’ll say that we have been together for a while, but if you’re going to use me as your boyfriend, we shall have to be seen in the pub together.”
Jinx portrays a motioness statue . . .
As they head towards the Deri, they come upon Jinx, doing his “Living Statue” impression.
. . . until Sioned starts tickling him . . .
Already, Sheryl and Sioned are trying to make him move,
. . . whereupon he spins round and startles them
and Sioned’s tickling him works.   Colin approaches with a drink for Jinx, and sees Mark going into the Deri with Gabriella.
Inside, as Sioned, Sheryl and Gwyneth are drinking and laughing,
"It's the last time things will be like this!"
Anita tells Diane that this Christmas is going to be particularly hard for her.
Debbie makes a nuisance of herself
As Mark brings Gabriella a cocktail, Debbie infiltrates herself between them, and tells Gabriella she had better find herself a boyfriend, as, “Your biological clock is ticking!”
"Don't have a shock if she moves in with me!"
She is surprised when Mark tells her, “Don’t have a shock if she moves in with me.   It’s romantic, a bloke from Cwmderi with a woman from Trelew.   Ricky would love having her there, like with Dani.”
"She's here to steal Meic's money!"  (Debbie would know all about that)
Debbie does not agree, and worries about Ricky;  “You don’t know her history,” she rants, “She’s here to steal Meic’s money!”   At this, Anita decides that it is about time she and Gabriella left.
Jim is quite sure that Lois is the cause of the problem . . .
Jim tells Colin that Lois has complained about the way the turkeys were killed at Penrhewl,
. . . and Colin is equally certain that she is not
but Colin insists she would never do such a thing.   Jim goes on about, “Blinkin’ students!” and wants to know what lies she has told about them, despite Colin reminding him, “You couldn’t stomach rural pursuits yourself!”
Gaynor tells hm Lois has confirmed she did not report him
As Lois is away in Carmarthen, Gaynor comes round to defend her against Jim’s accusations.
"I bet she's one of these animal rights campaigners!"
Jim continues, “I bet she’s one of these animal rights campaigners!   What’s she expect – give them a tablet to make them go to sleep?   She’s too ashamed to come to see me!”
DJ, with his coolbox, confirms there was no complaint
However, DJ comes in, carrying a polystyrene cool box, and reports that the farm has passed all the tests;  the only objection was the cardboard boxes in the 4x4, so he is using the coolboxes instead.   And he adds, “No-one reported us – they are visiting every farm in the district selling turkeys.”
"I think you have some apologising to do!"
This puts Jim in an embarrassing position, and Gaynor considers he has some apologising to do.   Colin adds that he should give Lois full pay for the day, and a bonus.
Gabriella resolves to go to London
Gabriella has again packed her bags to leave, as she cannot bear to cause any more trouble;  she will go to London, where no-one will know who she is.
Meic has a better idea:  “Let’s go to Anglesey,” he says, but Anita objects to this.
Dai says he can arrange some unofficial asylum
Then Dai arrives, telling Gabriella that he has friends who can help her keep her head down for a while.   “Come with me,” he tells them.
In the Deri, Gaynor joins the three rather noisy girls;
"Can I have Gwern at Christmas?"
then Garry comes along from the other end of the bar and asks Gwyneth if he can have Gwern at Christmas, but she refuses, instead inviting him to come over after Christmas dinner.
"It's not my fault that Dani's gone!"
“It’s not my fault that Dani’s gone!” she tells him.
Dai tells Gabriella that she can hide away at Bryntirion
At Bryntirion, Dai explains that Gabriella can hide there until the police get tired of looking for her.   Thanking him for  the offer, she says that she will simply tell the truth if the police come;  “I’m staying at home with Meic,” she says.
Gaynor's passionate kiss with DJ
In the Deri, DJ has some mistletoe, and he kisses Gaynor, then Hywel grabs it, and it is obvious whom he chooses to kiss.
DJ’s next object is Diane, but he loses his balance and falls on her leg, causing her some pain.
Mark and Colin are competing for Gabriella
Colin, at the bar, is commenting on Mark’s supposed romance with Gabriella.   “You’re old enough to be her dad, and anyway, you have to be married before she will have any rights.”   Mark boasts, “I’ve faked a marriage before,” and Colin explains that is why it should be he who takes Gabriella up the aisle.   “I’m a catch, and I look continental,” he explains.
Diane hobbles into Bryntirion, leaning on DJ
Dai is inviting Gabriella and Meic to have Christmas dinner at Bryntirion, rather to Anita’s displeasure, as she has a Penrhewl turkey all ready, when Diane limps drunkenly home, supported by DJ.
"You won't be able to do the cooking in that state"
Anita proudly announces that Diane will have to rest her leg for a few days, which means that Dai will be in charge of all the cooking;
Dai will have to be head chef at Christmas
he does not appear any too happy about this development.
