Meic, back from early-morning filming
Meic has been out early, filming dawn breaking over Y Wenallt, and meets Gabriela by his door.   He invites her in to look at his footage, but while showing her some old photos, suffers a coughing fit;  Gabriela is worried, and fetches him some water.
"It's not the weather for filming"
She tells him he should wait for the better weather in spring to do his filming.
Meic tells her about his condition
“I can’t wait,” he says, “No, I really can’t.   I am dying of lung cancer, which has spread to the liver.   There is only occasional pain, and I have tablets and morphine.   Treatment would not offer much time and is not worth it.”
Gabriela asks what the people who love him would want
Gabriela suggests that the people who love him would want him to extend his life, but he is resigned to the fact that he will not recover, and asks her to keep the information to herself.
Back from a rather disappointing trip
Gwyneth has been at a craft fair, but has only sold ten items, which Sioned points out means that they have made a loss.
They look aghast at the bags of ironing
Then Diane comes in with two big bags of ironing and reminds them that was part of the deal.
Siôn and Dani with final reception plans
In the café, Siôn and Dani are planning the arrangements at the Deri tomorrow.   Debbie recalls her wedding, which was disaster, and hopes that Dani has better luck.
"Ironing?   I'm too busy here!"
Sioned comes in, hoping that Ed can help with the mountain of ironing, but he is busy there, and reminds her, “Debbie pays!”
Dai's left sleeve is caught in Diane's zip
As Dai is about to go to the golf club, Diane asks for help doing up the zip of that dress again.   Dai struggles and gets it closed, but traps the sleeve of his expensive golf jumper in it.
They hope that no-one is about . . .
Dai and Diane come creeping round the corner by APD, still attached,
. . . and manage to avoid Dani
and hide when they see Dani approaching.
Assistance for their awkward predicament
They go into the business units and call for help from Gwyneth and Sioned, who diagnose that the zip can be partially unpicked, but the jumper will have to be cut.   Gwyneth wields a pair of scissors, despite Dai’s protests.
Dai, surveying the piece missing from his sleeve
He is far from happy at the state of his sleeve, and tells Diane, “I’m not the one who’s too fat to fit into the dress!”
No wonder he escapes, after a comment like that!
Then he runs away.
Temporary garb, while the dress is mended
As Sioned works on her dress, Diane is temporarily wearing a Father Christmas outfit;  she apologises for taking advantage with all that ironing, and hopes they make a success of the venture.   She puts her coat on over the costume and leaves.
Gabriela tells Siôn her father is ill with cancer . . .
When Siôn brings Ed’s screwdriver upstairs, he finds Gabriela looking upset.   She admits, “I’ve just found out that my father is seriously ill with cancer – my father is in Cwmderi – he’s Meic Pierce!”
. . . and Siôn is surprised to hear she is Meic's daughter
Siôn looks stunned.
“I’m sorry for lying about the photographic project,” Gabriela tells him, “I wanted to meet him and make sure I liked him before I told him who I was.”   Siôn replies, “Who wouldn’t like him?”
"Should I tell him?"
Gabriela then asks whether she ought to tell Meic who she is;  “If you were Meic, would you want to know?” and Siôn considers that he would.
Sioned is dissuaded from giving Debbie a piece of her mind
When Debbie reprimands Ed for leaving dirty plates on the counter in the café, Sioned is ready to march into the kitchen to tell her a thing or two, as, “She is always putting you down!” but Ed stops her, saying, “A wage is a wage!”
Dani wants Meic to be in two places at the same time
Meic is setting up his equipment in the chapel, and Dani says she wants her arrival and Garry’s reaction to it recorded at the same time.   Meic tells her that he will enlist Gabriela’s help.
Hard worker Ed gets some surplus cakes . . .
At closing time, Debbie is impressed by Ed’s hard work, asks him to work again tomorrow, and gives him some leftover cakes to take home.
. . . but madam does not want café leftovers . . .
He goes to the business units, where Sioned says, “I don’t want café leftovers!”
Gwyneth asks Ed, “Does Debbie have you dress like a French maid?   Has she got a whip to keep you in order?”   Ed simply appreciates being free, with no decisions, no worries or responsibilities.   “It’s a relief, after those months in the Deri.”
. . . however, she changes her mind
“Is there a doughnut?” asks Sioned.
"You really ought to tell him now"
In the Deri, Siôn tells Gabriela that she ought to tell Meic sooner rather than later.
Gabriela agrees to help with the wedding filming
She joins him on the sofa, and he asks her to help him at the wedding of the century” tomorrow.   She readily agrees, and he tells her, “I had a strange experience in the chapel today.   I suddenly realised that my funeral will take place there before long – and the strange thing is, I feel ready for it.”
She decides against telling him
Gabriela, close to tears, confides to Siôn that she will not tell Meic he is her father;  “We will be friends and nothing more.”
In dressing gowns at Bryntirion
Dani, who is spending the night before her wedding at Bryntirion, gives a gift to Diane, and Dai tells her she has been like a daughter to them for years.   Dani asks him if he will make a speech at the reception, “A sort of father-of-the-bride type thing?”
Dai is delighted at being asked to give a speech
Dai agrees without hesitation;  “I won’t let you down, I’m an expert at public speaking,” he assures her, getting out his notebook and starting planning.

"That was a lovely thing to do!"
“That was a lovely thing to do,” Diane tells Dani, and hugs her.
