Getting the car serviced is an excuse to talk to Gethin
Although Gethin says her car is not due for service, Gaynor insists she wants it done.   When she mentions the party on Friday at the Deri, he says he will probably go to Swansea instead;
Gaynor persuades Gethin
Gaynor suggests he takes Sheryl to the party, but adds that DJ seems to have his eye on her.
Meanwhile, Hywel is with Sheryl
Meanwhile, Hywel meets Sheryl by the salon, and tells her that Gaynor should not have accused her of running after him.   “No, I’ve got better taste!” she replies.   Gethin joins them, but has a text from Garry, wanting him back at the garage.
"I usually watch paint dry!"
Hywel remarks to Sheryl, “I told Siôn that you would be at the poetry evening on Tuesday,” but she says she usually watches paint dry on Tuesday night.   She adds, “But I put your name down for the community tiddlywinks!
Gethin finds the van is back
The van is back in the garage, and Garry tells Gethin that the door lock looks as if someone has tampered with it.   Gethin replies that it was outside for a few minutes before he put it in the garage;  it might have happened then.
He takes it to Garry's lock-up . . .
Garry tells him to get in the van and follow him;  when they reach a lock-up, Garry reveals that the handbags came from China, and there are more to follow.
. . . is told that there are more to come . . .
“This is your chance to make some money – you can’t be happy with a mechanic’s wages.
. . . and there is easy money in it . . .
You won’t have to get your hands dirty, there’s no harm in it, and no-one gets hurt.”
“Except the Customs and Excise,” says Gethin, but he agrees to the deal.
. . . so Gethin unloads the boxes . . .
Gethin is instructed to unload the boxes and then return to the garage.
. . . and leaves the bag, filled with cash, there as well . . .
He finds a bag, stuffed with money, but leaves it, with the boxes, in the lock-up.
. . . just as well, for Big Brother Garry is watching
He does not appear to notice the CCTV camera watching his movements.
"We can't carry on like this,"says Meic
Debbie is still antagonistic towards Meic, but he insists, “We can’t carry on like this – it’s not fair on the customers, or Anita.”
“Or to you, poor Meical,” she mocks, “Did you think we could still be friends?”
Angela tells him that Debbie trusted him
Angela tells Meic that Debbie thought the world of him, and now finds that she was just someone to pass the time until Anita came back.   Meic insists that Debbie should find someone younger, but Angela tells him that Debbie trusted him, and that was not easy for her.
Eifion's putting is improving
Eifion practises his golf, having bought some new clubs, and tells Dai and Jim that a committee meeting is a waste of time.
As a placatory gesture, Meic brings Debbie a cup of tea;  “You know what you can do with that!” she replies.   He has closed the café and wants to talk to her;  “I had my reasons for doing what I did – it was not easy but was for the best.
Meic finally tells Debbie he has cancer
I have got cancer, and don’t have much time left, six to nine months.   I don’t want treatment, but I do want you to know I did the right thing.   You were planning for the future, so I had to finish with you.”
Debbie cannot believe what he says
Debbie is very upset;  “You would have stayed with me if I were the one you wanted.”   He replies that he did not want to put her and Ricky through it, as she is young, and, “I was never going to be part of your future.”
Rather depleted committee meeting
Only a few rugby club committee members attend the meeting in the Deri, and Eifion is most offended when told that he must make sure to let Wynford, one of the club’s sponsors, win.
"You have to lose, for the sake of the club!"
Dai advises him to, “Keep it tight until the last few holes,” and Jim adds, “You have to lose for the sake of the club.”
Eifion insists he will be playing to win
When Eifion gets home, he complains to Angela that the club expect him to “throw” the golf tournament.   “I’m not grovelling for sponsorship;  and not playing politics – I’m playing to win!” he tells her.
Gethin asks Sheryl to accompany him on Friday evening
Gethin brings Sheryl a cake, making her suspect that Garry has given him a pay rise;  he tells her that Garry thinks he is useless, “But I’ll show him!   Come with me to the Party on Friday night, or I’ll have to play darts with Gwynfor all night.”
She does look rather surprised by the invitation
She agrees, and Gethin says he will get her a costume.   When Hywel comes into the salon, he finds Gethin there, so beats a hasty retreat.
Meic locks up the café . . .
As Meic closes up the café,
. . . and Debbie hugs him
Debbie comes down and hugs him, with tears in her eyes.
"I'm taking all the risks," says Gethin
Gethin emphasises to Garry that he is not a slave.   “You tell whoever is employing you that I want the same deal you are getting.   I’m taking the risks, and I’ll be in trouble if the cops stop me!”   When Garry warns him that he knows all he needs to know, and that he will get no more money, Gethin reminds him, “The stuff is stored in your lock-up.”
"I'd rather be at home with you" — pull the other one!
Hywel gets home and tells Gaynor he did not go to the committee meeting, as he would rather be with her.   He seems to be rather disturbed when she tells him, “Gethin and Sheryl are getting back together, and are going to the Hallowe’en night.   It has been a difficult time for them, and he didn’t want to push her.   I think they’ll end up together!”

"Sheryl deserves a bit of happiness!"
Hywel comments, “She deserves a bit of happiness.”
