Sheryl wants Dani to attend to salon business
Dani is fussing about bouquets for the wedding, when she realises her engagement ring is missing;  as she and Sheryl search the salon, Garry comes in, wanting to take Dani to lunch later.
Dani's ring has gone missing
When he has gone, Sheryl tries to reassure Dani, “Don’t panic, we’ll find it!”
"I'm going to visit Elliw on the way home"
Before Ffion goes to school she asks Jinx to pick up Arwen, as she wants to visit Elliw on her way home.   Jinx reminds her that Dylan does not want her there, and suggests the three of them go for a walk later, but Ffion insists, “I want to apologise to them – I’ll only be half an hour.”
Sioned is working like a Trojan
Sioned is machining like mad in the Deri flat, as Gwern is ill at home, and has a lot of work to get through.   Ed warns her that the heating has to be turned off, as they cannot afford it.
A stranger comes into the garage, enquiring, “Garry Monk?”
Gethin gets out a sample box
Gethin replies that it depends who is asking, and when told he is Dean Jones, realises it is his bag customer, who wants three more boxes.
"£3,700 – it's a deal!"
Gethin wants £4,000 but is beaten down to £3,700;  Dean will pick them up tomorrow.
Sheryl goes through the bin
In the salon, as Sheryl delves into the bin, Garry comes in to pick up Dani, and is told that Sheryl has lost a pound coin.   He looks incredulous, and Sheryl urges Dani to tell him the truth, so she reluctantly does so.
The new, caring Garry Monk – "All right, don't get upset."
“Why do you have to be so careless?” he asks, then adds, “All right, don’t get upset;  we’ll find it, if we have to search every nook and cranny of the village.”
Gaynor's surprise was unsuccessful
Sheryl sees Hywel and Gaynor in the Deri:  she learns that Gaynor’s surprise visit did not go to plan, as Hywel was very busy and she hardly saw him.   Hywel emphasises that he has to go back to work, as he is alone at CwmFM.
Gaynor has received a complaint against Ffion
Gaynor texts Ffion to see her at the Deri, reporting that she has received a complaint against Ffion, and despite Ffion’s protestations that Elliw does not have a clue what she is doing, advises it is not her place, as a teacher, to visit pupils at home.   Health visitors should be contacted, and Gaynor stresses, “I won’t give you a written warning this time, but if I hear you have been there again, I won’t have any choice.”
"It doesn't matter who made the complaint"
Ffion demands who has complained, and assumes it was Dylan, but Gaynor cannot give any names.
Garry circulates posters round the village
In the cafĂ© Garry is putting up one of the posters about the lost ring, telling Jinx that it cost £1,500;
Ed is cleaning his taxi . . .
as Ed is cleaning his taxi outside,
. . . when he, coincidentally, finds a ring
he discovers a ring on the floor, and is about to shout to Garry and Dani, when he thinks better of it, and slips the ring into his pocket.
Ffion is about to vent her fury on Dylan . . .
When Jinx arrives home at lunchtime, Ffion is raging against the complaint that Dylan has made.   She is about to march round there and give him a piece of her mind when Jinx reveals that he made the complaint.
. . . when Jinx confesses he made the complaint
“It was me – I was worried!   You don’t listen;  Elliw and the baby are all you think about.   If the authorities know you’re obsessed with someone else’s baby, they might not let us adopt.
Ffion is ordered, "This must stop!"
They don’t need your help – this must stop today!   We’re your family, not them!”
Sheryl playing in the studio
Sheryl takes the hint, dropped by Hywel, and visits him at the studio;  she sits in front of the microphone, puts on headphones and pretends to interview Hywel.
"With me is Hywel Llywelyn, Cwmderi's heart-throb!"
“With me is Hywel Llywelyn, Cwmderi’s heart-throb.   How does it feel, having all these women chasing after you?”
He replies, “I had to wait a long time for the right woman to come along;  I can’t reveal who she is on radio, but she knows who she is,” and kisses her.
Sheryl is panic-stricken that what she said was on air
Suddenly Hywel lunges at the controls and turns something off, pretending that their conversation had been broadcast.   Sheryl is aghast, and does not appreciate being told it was a joke.   “You’re very pretty when you panic,” Hywel simpers.
Sheryl is happy simply being with him
Then he plies her with a paper cup of coffee, and says he would like to treat her to a posh restaurant, but they might see someone they knew.   Sheryl assures him she is happy simply being with him, and had better go, as they do not want Gaynor suspecting anything.
Dani admits what has happened
Hywel and Dani go to the garage to tell Gethin about the missing ring, and he assures them he will search there.
Jinx wonders whether he should have made the complaint
Gaynor goes to see Ffion, but she is not there, and Jinx says she knows that he made the complaint.   “She’s lucky to have you,” says Gaynor, “You keep her on the straight and narrow,” but Jinx responds that it does not feel like that.
Snugly wrapped up Sioned has finished her work
Sioned, wearing a coat and gloves, has finished the clothes, and takes them to Gwyneth;
Ed again looks at the expensive ring
Ed retrieves the ring from his pocket and looks at it.
Ffion thinks she may never see the baby again
Ffion goes to the garage and bewails the fact she may never see the baby again;  Gethin reassures her that when the dust has settled, things will be different.   “There’s a special bond between him and us.”
"Jinx thinks of nothing but the adoption!"
Ffion tells Gethin that adoption is the only thing Jinx thinks about, and he can see that she is having second thoughts;  “If you want your own baby, then that’s what you should do.   Why don’t you try?”
She reveals to him that she and Jinx are first cousins
Ffion tells him things are complicated, as they are first cousins.   Gethin says that it is not against the law, and reminds her that the easy option is not always the best.
She mentions risks, and Gethin says, “Risks are part of life.”

“There’s a lot to be said for playing safe,” Ffion replies, ‘I’d better go – see you soon.”
