Ffion is working at home
Jinx leaves for work as he is “running the show” while Hywel is in London;  Ffion is researching the school skiing trip when Elliw arrives to tell her that she and her dad had a long talk over the weekend.
Elliw tells Ffion she will be keeping the baby
She will  be keeping the baby, and is so grateful for Ffion’s help.
The contractions have started
As Ffion is about to make a cup of coffee, Elliw experiences pains, and says, “I feel like I’m going to burst!
"We're going to the hospital!"
Ffion says that they have to get to the hospital, as the baby is coming.
Angela objects to Eifion's rubbish
Angela scolds Eifion for his untidy habits;  “Courtney and I don’t want to live in a pigsty!   Shape up or ship out!” she warns him.
Garry appears oblivious to the wedding arrangements
As Dani talks about wedding arrangements and Garry ignores her, a man comes to collect his car, then Gethin arrives late.
"He's the laziest mechanic I know!"
“The laziest mechanic I know,” says Garry, “If he wasn’t related, he would have been sacked long ago!”
Dani wants to take Gethin to be measured for his wedding suit, but Garry has an errand for him.
"Drop it off and come straight back!"
“Take this box to that garage in Swansea, drop it off and come straight back.   The contents are no concern of yours – do as I tell you!”
"Stop the car!   The baby's coming!"
As Ffion drives along, Elliw shouts from the back seat, “Miss, miss, stop the car – the baby’s coming!”   She stops and realises that she will not have time to get to the hospital, so calls for an ambulance;
Ffion calls an ambulance
“I’m on the road between Cwmderi and Llanarthur, with a 16-year-old girl about to give birth in the car!”
Gethin just happens to be passing that way . . .
Then she flags down an approaching car, which happens to be Gethin on his errand.
. . . and is prevailed upon to assist
He is given the task of holding and reassuring Elliw, but he looks rather panic-stricken.
"We'll have to deliver this baby!"
“I have to push – it’s coming!” screams Elliw, and Ffion announces, “We’ll have to deliver this baby.”
Eifion thinks he deserves something for all this housework . . .
Angela returns home to change, after one of her more unruly patients, Mrs Ellis, Maesglen, threw food at her.
. . . and seems to want to get Angela upstairs
She finds that Eifion has been busy with the housework, and, as she strips off her nurse’s uniform, suggests she may want to come upstairs to see what he has been doing up there.   She tells him that she has clients waiting.
The painful process is almost over
Elliw is getting tired, but Ffion keeps up the encouragement;  when Gethin tells her to “push”, she tells him to shut up.   “One more try – one , two, three — the head’s out!”
Soon they are all three jubilant – “You’ve done it!” says Gethin.
Ffion has some difficulty making the baby breathe
Then Ffion looks worried and rubs the newly-born baby;  she mutters, “Not again!   This can’t happen again!” but soon a hoarse cry is heard,
Elliw's little son is presented to her
Ffion hands the wrapped-up baby to Elliw, and an ambulance siren can be heard approaching.
The new barman serves Eifion his pint
In the Deri, Ows is showing Iolo some of the ropes, as he wants to help out when the pub gets busy.   Eifion comes in, complaining that he is starving, having been doing housework all morning.   Ed is off to work, on the phones at Deri Deithio, but Eifion says he does not need a job, as he has plenty saved up.
He has to put some sanitiser on his hands
When Eifion pays with loose change from the same pocket as his handkerchief, Iolo is rather repulsed.
"Where on earth are you?"
Garry is on the phone, “Where on earth are you?   if you’re trying to make a fool of me, you’ll regret it!”   Then Dani arrives, wanting to know what is going on between Garry and Gethin;  “Why did he phone the cops?   And why are you still arguing?”   Garry laughs it off;  “He’s been getting on my nerves for years,” he tells her.
She insists she will stay there and wait for him to come back, as she has to get his measurements.
The implications of what has happened start to hit Ffion . . .
Ffion arrives back from the hospital, and sits down, still in shock;
. . . and she dissolves into tears
she begins to cry.
Gethin gets back to the garage with the box, and tells Garry the implausible tale of helping one of Ffion’s students, who was having a baby in the back of her car.   By the time he reached Swansea, Garry’s contact had gone.
"You had a delivery to make!"
Garry is not impressed by this, and tells Gethin that was none of his business – he had a delivery to make.   Dani comes out and Gethin tells her of his exploit, which she finds hard to believe.   Then she asks, “What’s in the box?”
"Bags! — air bags— for cars"
“Bags,” Gethin answers, “Air bags, for cars.”   Dani knows they are up to something, and warns them, “Whatever it is, it stops now, OK?”   She then leads Gethin away to the tailor’s.
Angela finds Eifion in the Deri
Eifion asks Iolo for another pint, then Angela comes in, telling him it is time to go home.   He tells her that he invited Ed and Sioned for a meal at the Deri tomorrow, but Ed seemed reluctant, as he is short of money.   Angela will text Sioned, as she thinks it is a good idea.
Fancy leaving an untouched pint on the bar
He is not keen to go home, but she reminds him he wanted to show her something upstairs, then he quickly goes, leaving his pint untouched on the bar.
Jinx gets home, after having dropped Arwen at a party, and says, “Have you been crying?”
Ffion tells Jinx what has happened to her
She relates the tale of Elliw starting contractions there, and the baby coming before they could get to the hospital.   “It was amazing, although I had to rub his back to get him to breathe.   Gethin and I managed to deliver a little boy!”
“Why Gethin?” asks Jinx, and she explains he was driving past, and that she stayed at the hospital until Dylan came.
Elliw's tiny baby son
Then she receives a reassuring text from Dylan, with a photo of the three weeks premature new arrival.
"That's how ours will be when we adopt"
“That’s how ours will be when we adopt,” says Jinx, but Ffion replies that it will not be quite the same, “We might not have a little baby.”   She and mits she is still in shock, and is shaking.
“I would have run a mile,” admits Jinx, “I’m so proud of you.   It doesn’t matter how they come, it will still be our child.”
Ffion longs for her own child
Ffion is silent – the desire for her own baby has been rekindled.
