Ffion is taking food to Dylan and Elliw
Jinx finds that Ffion has made a casserole which she is taking to Dylan and Elliw;  she tells him she is going to see Gethin Llywelyn.   “Who?” he says, thinking that is a weird name, and asks if it is a good idea, getting so involved;  “You’ve done your bit – you’re a busy woman.
Sheryl looks forward to a dirty weekend
In the salon, Sheryl is on the phone;  “I have appointments on Saturday, but a weekend in London sounds great!”
Eifion tries unsuccessfully to haggle Sheryl down to £80
Then Eifion comes in, wanting to buy a voucher for a Pampering Package for Angela, although he is rather shocked by the £95 price.
"I'm simply spoiling my girlfriend"
“Have you been a naughty boy,” Sheryl asks him, but he says he is simply spoiling his girlfriend.   When he has gone, she phones Mrs Potter to cancel her Saturday appointment.
Ffion is concerned about Elliw
Ffion arrives at Elliw’s to find her looking shattered, with the baby getting more sleep than her.   Dylan asks if she knows anything about the envelope, containing £100 which came through their door.
He is afraid of Elliw losing her friends, as they carry on with education, university, career and marriage;  what do Elliw and baby Gethin have to look forward to?
Elliw is asleep when Ffion leaves
He reveals he will have to go back to work tomorrow;  meanwhile Elliw has fallen asleep.
"You shouldn't have spent all this"
When Eifion gets home, he presents Angela with the voucher, but she scolds him for spending so much money.
Eifion makes some excuses
She has been looking for jobs for him in the paper, but he says he is not licenced to drive a fork lift truck.   Angela tells him he needs to compile a CV.
As Sheryl is styling an old lady’s hair, Gaynor comes in, wanting a manicure this afternoon at 2:45, before she goes to London to surprise Hywel.
"I'm going to surprise Hywel!"
“I can’t wait to see his face, when I turn up at the hotel,” she tells Sheryl, who replies, “It will be a picture!”   Gaynor has also bought tickets for a show.
What a remarkable CV!
Angela gets home to find Eifion has printed his CV, and she marvels at his achievements – among other things, NVQ in Administration, level 5, twelve GCSEs, and IT courses while he was in prison.   “You assumed I was a bumpkin, but there’s more up here,” he says, tapping his head.
Ffion is in her element with the baby
When Elliw wakes, she finds Ffion holding her baby, and reminds her she should be at school;  Dylan assures Ffion that they can manage, although he has to go to work.
Ed trudges past the shop
Eileen in the shop watches Ed pass by, and remarks to Angela that he looks as if he has the weight of the world on his shoulders;  Angela tells her that they have financial problems.
"Ffion was a star, but Gethin was more of a hindrance"
Jinx comes in to buy flowers for Ffion, saying she has had a tough week, with the baby, and asks Angela, “Where were you, when she needed a nurse?”   He is of the opinion that Gethin was more of a hindrance.
Hang on, there's something dubious about this CV . . .
Angela shows Eifion’s impressive CV to Eileen, who looks somewhat suspiciously at it;  “If he is so highly qualified, why were the Penrhewl accounts always left to Cadno?   Perhaps he’s pulling your leg!”
Hywel is warned there is a surprise coming
Sheryl warns Hywel that his wife is going to turn up and surprise him.   “How could I stop her?” she demands.   Then Eileen comes in, and upon asking why Sheryl looks upset, is told that she had a weekend in Llandudno planned;  “With your mystery man,” interjects Eileen, and now he has cancelled.
Sheryl, not pleased that Eileen is fussing over her
Eileen insists she should sit down, and makes her a cup of tea.
Ffion is greeted with flowers . . .
When Ffion arrives home late, Jinx is preparing dinner;  she says Jinx is “cute” for buying her flowers, but is mainly concerned about how Elliw is going to cope.   Jinx says he is fed up with hearing about them, and that she is getting too close to them.
. . . but Jinx has some harsh words to say
“Your business is here with your own child,” he tells her.   Ffion disappears into the bedroom.
"Your CV impressed Eileen!"
As Angela and Eifion sit down to their meal, she says, “Your CV impressed Eileen;  she had no idea about all those NVQs, after living under the same roof as you for years.   I’ve posted thirty copies to local employers.   Why keep that brain a secret?   I wouldn’t be surprised if you get a job offer tomorrow!”
"It was just a joke!"
Eifion is forced to concede that it was a joke;  “I’m not laughing!” says Angela.
“All right – I lied!” he admits, and is mightily relieved when she confirms the CVs are still in her bag.
Angela spells out what he must do
“Don’t you dare lie to me again,” she orders him, “If you’ve any sense, you’ll look for a job – any job.   You’ve got two weeks, then you’re out!”
This was all about trying to get a job for Sioned
Eileen suggests to Sheryl that Sioned could help out in the salon during the busy Christmas period, but Sheryl reminds her that Sioned nearly sued her a while back.   Then Eileen advises, “If this bloke lets you down like this at short notice, he can’t be trusted.”
Sheryl laughs it off;  “It would have been cold on that promenade!”
Eileen spills the beans about Sheryl's weekend in Llandudno
Then Gaynor returns, wanting to move her manicure to 3:00pm, and Eileen tells her about Sheryl being “stood up”.
Ffion, clad in her pyjamas
At mealtime Ffion comes back, in her pyjamas, and Jinx apologises, as he is on edge with CwmFM, adoption and test results;  he has booked Ffion’s appointment tomorrow afternoon.
Jinx is concerned this might influence the adoption panel
“Don’t you think people might say you’re being overly attentive?   You’ve done your duty as a teacher.”

Is Ffion really agreeing with Jinx?
Ffion holds his hand and agrees, “You’re right, I promise to keep my distance from now on,” but something gives the impression she is being less than sincere.
