Sioned advocates adding a sparkly stripe
At Gwyneth’s, Sioned suggests ideas for customising the garments she is working on, and complains of the cold, as Gwyneth has not turned on the heating to save money.   Gwyneth invites her to the café for lunch.
Dani wants Gethin to try on the shirt
Outside number 7, Dani shows Gethin a pink shirt she has bought, but worries that it clashes with his hair;  however Gethin has to go to work.   Then Gwyneth sees him, and refers to the “adventure” he had yesterday with Ffion;
Dani calls him a "hero"
“It must have been exciting!” she says, and Dani calls him a “hero.”
Ed eats sandwiches in the taxi office
Angela goes into the café and sees Ed in the taxi office, eating his sandwiches;  she tells him Sioned is coming over, and offers to buy him a lasagne.   Ed declines her offer.
Iolo emerges from the shop with several bottles of soft drinks;  he tells Cadno and DJ, “Dad hasn’t quite mastered stock control.”
Sioned intercepts the clothes on the way to Megan's shop
Cadno has two bags of old clothes for the charity shop, but Sioned, always on the lookout for a bargain, offers to buy them for five pounds;  “Five pounds each,” says DJ.
"The easiest £10 I ever made!"
Cadno says that was the easiest £10 she ever made, but DJ corrects her, “The easiest £10 that Apêl Maenan ever made!” and she goes to the shop with the money.
Eifion is hindering Gethin as he works
Gethin is trying to repair a car when Eifion goes on about farmers having to be mechanics.
"You're paid to work, not to gossip!"
Garry arrives and tells Gethin, “You’re paid to work, not to gossip with your friends!”
A chap called Tony is looking for Garry, and is instructed to deliver the box which Gethin brought back;
Tony is paid £100 for doing the delivery
“The usual driver made a mess of it,” says Garry, “Here’s £100 for your trouble.”
"I'm going to stop selling bags"
“Why not give me another chance?   I won’t let you down again!” pleads Gethin.   “No, you won’t,” replies Garry, “I’m going to stop selling bags, not because of Dani, but because you can’t be trusted, and I can’t take the risk.”
When Gethin accuses him of overreacting and says they both need the money, Garry responds, “I don’t – you’re the desperate one.”
In the café, Sioned looks through the bags of clothes, and tells Gwyneth that vintage stuff is really trendy.
"I hope you're not eating them in here!"
Ed, with his sandwiches, joins them at a café table, and when Gwen brings the two lasagnes, she scolds him, “I hope you’re not eating them in here!”
He tells Sioned, “No-one’s buying me lunch, and whats this about dinner in the Deri?   We can’t afford it!   We shall only be listening to Eifion, bragging about his bank account!”
Ed attempts to pay his way
He offers Gwyneth a fiver to pay for Sioned’s lasagne, but she will not accept it.
"Bad news, I can't supply any more bags"
In the garage, as Gethin drinks a coffee from the machine, Garry makes a phone call (in English);  “I’ve got bad news for you, I can’t supply any more bags.   Someone let me down really badly.   Yeah, it is a shame;  tonight’s delivery will be the last.”
Gethin tells him he did not have to do that, and when Garry goes out, Gethin opens the drawer and looks at the phone.
Garry wants Gwyneth to have Gwern over Christmas
Garry goes to Gwyneth’s, and asks if she would like to have Gwern over Christmas;
"Will he cramp your style on honeymoon?"
“Worried that he’ll cramp your style on honeymoon?” jokes Gwyneth, who is delighted to care for Gwern, but worries about the future of the garment factory when Gwern comes to live there.
Gethin copies the number . . .
Gethin cautiously retrieves Garry’s phone and copies the number to his own phone;
. . . then rings it, posing as Garry
then he rings the number and says (again in English), “Garry Monk again, sorry about earlier.   My fiancée got wind of what was going on, and you know what women are like.   I can still supply bags if you want them.   Great – call me back on this number.”
Vegetable delivery to the Deri
Cadno and DJ deliver a box of fresh vegetables to the Deri, and Iolo remarks that they are, “A bit dirty.”   DJ points out that they came out of the soil.   Cadno notices that Eifion always seems to be propping up the bar just lately, and he tells her, “I’m free to do whatever I want these days!”
Angela instructs Eifion what to do
Angela rushes in and orders him home to get changed for dinner.   “Free to do whatever you want?” comments DJ.
Ed doing a spot of ironing
Upstairs, Ed is ironing his shirt and tells Sioned work was boring;  she tells him that Marian’s blue dress is going to be changed into “a lovely garment.”
She hopes that the meal will be "a laugh"
She tells him that the meal will be a laugh, “And Eifion’s paying,” she adds.   Ed insists that they are paying their own way.
When Eifion and Angela arrive, she urges him not to “flash the cash”;  Iolo shows them, Ed and Sioned to their table.
The diners make their choices from the menu
Eifion orders wine, but Ed wants squash, Eifion and Angela both order steaks, but Sioned chooses salad and Ed, chicken and chips.
"Are you deaf or what?"
When Eifion pours Ed some wine, he demands, “Are you deaf or what?”
The soup appears to be making Cadno drowsy
At the farm, DJ has made soup for Cadno and himself, and tells her that Jim wants more use made of the polytunnel, adding that they can grow salads in the winter.
"Without Jim's money, where would we be?"
“We should give Jim another chance,” he urges her, “We should work together to make the farm a success – without Jim and his money, where would we be?”
Eifion makes a rather ill-advised comment
Eifion seems to be deliberately stirring things up;  he tells Ed it must be difficult, losing the pub, “Especially with a girlfriend like Sioned - we all know how she likes spending money!”
Ed tots up his share of the bill
At this, Ed calls to Iolo for the bill;  he painstakingly counts out the money to pay for his meal – £13.60 –and bids them goodnight.
"Well, that was fun!"
After they have gone, Eifion remarks to Angela, “Well, that was fun!” with a smirk on his face.
"Don't ever do that to me again!"
Upstairs, Sioned angrily tells Ed, “Don’t ever do that to me again!   Why make such a fuss?”
"We have to stop spending!"
Ed reiterates that they are skint;  “How many more times?   We can’t even afford this month’s rent.   If we’re going to get ourselves out of this mess, we have to stop spending – I mean it!”
Sioned will find it difficult to stop spending
Sioned answers, “OK, I promise,” and looks rather crestfallen.
