Eifion "searches for a job" online
As Angela is leaving, Eifion looks at the Western Post online, and says there are only a couple of call centre jobs, but he will fill in the application forms.
"Hi, Col, you busy this afternoon?"
As soon as she has gone, he rings Colin, asking, “Busy this afternoon?”
Gaynor highly delighted with the quilt
In the café Gaynor is enthusing about the quilt Gwyneth has made for her;  “Lois will love it!” she says, and advises Gwyneth to do some marketing.
Debbie will not allow Gwyneth to display her wares
Gwyneth asks Debbie is she could display the quilts in a corner of the café, but Debbie says there is not enough room as it is.
"We're too old to play games like this!"
Surprisingly, Hywel is at the salon, telling Sheryl he was certain that Gaynor was going to discover her.   Sheryl angrily replies, “That would be funny, would it?   How do you think I felt – hiding while you took her upstairs?   We’re too old to play games like this;  I don’t think we should see each other any more!”
“Why?” asks Hywel.   “You’re married and Gaynor is a friend!   It’s over!”   states Sheryl.   Then Rhian comes in for a trim, and Sheryl announces, “Hywel is just leaving.”
Colin is easily persuaded
Gwyneth takes two baskets of quilts to the shop, where Colin is bemoaning the fact that he has the afternoon off, and Eileen has not come back yet.   Gwyneth offers to look after the shop for him, on condition she can display her quilts.   When she explains that Sioned helped to make them, and Eileen will want to support her daughter, he agrees.
As Jim and Eileen arrive at Penrhewl, Cadno sighs, “Look lively – the boss is here!”
"How about naming the turkeys?"
Jim insists they have to work together, and he has an idea how to promote their produce.   To do something a bit different, and perhaps sell more turkeys, they could name them.
Cadno’s response is, “Urgh!” but Jim continues, “We could name them and take photos of them, so the customers know what they’re getting.   DJ calls the idea, “Original!”
"It's nonsense!"
Cadno is more scathing;  “Turkeys are dressed with stuffing, not for a photo shoot!   Do they frame the photo and put it on the table while they eat it?   It’s enough to turn our customers vegetarian!   It’s nonsense!”
Although Eileen supports him, Jim says he is wasting his time
Jim storms out, saying he is wasting his time there, and Eileen advises Cadno that Jim wants to learn about farming, if she will let him.
Eileen urges Cadno to give Jim a chance
“Penrhewl has had more than its share of feuds, so give him a chance, will you?”
Jim is in a better humour when presented with a list of turkey names
Later, out in the farmyard, Cadno presents Jim with a list of suggested names for the turkeys.
"It's a crazy idea!"
When Jim goes off happily with DJ, Cadno tells Eileen it is a crazy idea, but she will give it a try.
Round one of the Grand Prix begins . . .
Eifion and Colin sit down with some cans and start a Grand Prix computer game.   Eifion tells him, “Angela thinks I’m looking for work, but I can live on the money I made from Penrhewl.   I slaved for years, so I deserve a rest.”
. . . but there is a serious disruption to round two
Eifion has won the first race, and, armed with another can, they start the second, when they are discovered by Angela, returning unexpectedly.   “So this is your idea of looking for work!” she shouts, and Eifion blames Colin for disturbing him, and Colin objects to being falsely accused.   “Get out, both of you!” orders Angela.
Sioned looks forward to a flood of orders
Sioned is sure that the quilt display in the shop will have the orders flying in, but then Eileen gets back;  “Where’s Colin?   Who told you they could go there?   What’s she doing behind the counter?”
Eileen is not so accommodating, however
Just then Eifion and Colin come in, and Eifion buys a box of chocolates.   “Chocolates always do the trick!” he says.
Eileen instructs Gwyneth, “I want these out of here – this is not your market!”
"Thanks a bunch for your support!"
and Sioned mutters, “Thanks a bunch for your support, Mam!”
Eifion launches into the tale of woe about his mental state . . .
Eifion creeps back into the house with the chocolates;  “Is it safe to come in?” he says, and starts to tell Angela how he has not been completely honest with her.   He emphasises that being unemployed is killing him.
. . . and gullible Angela appears to be taken in by it
He is not used to being idle, and it is suffocating him;  there are no jobs out there, and it has knocked his confidence.   Angela swallows all this, and urges him to talk to her about his feelings
One of Jim's masterpieces
Jim shows Cadno the turkey photos he has taken;  “Very professional,” comments DJ, and when Jim goes off, DJ warns Cadno,
Cadno, amused by the thought of Jim filming hens laying
“He might film the hens laying eggs tomorrow!”
Sheryl's attention is elsewhere (no prizes for guessing where)
Debbie sees Sheryl outside the salon, and asks if she wants to go for a drink later, but Sheryl is staring fixedly along the street, where Hywel is about to go into the Deri with Gaynor.
Jim is pleased that Cadno appreciates his "business brain"
Angela goes to see Jim to asks if APD has any work for Eifion, but Jim says no, as he would be in the middle of all the arguments between Dai and Eifion.
Gaynor promises them a free website to sell their quilts
In the Deri, Gaynor is so pleased about the quilt that she volunteers Hywel to construct a free website for Gwyneth to sell more of them.
"Why don't you mind your own business?"
Hywel moans at Gaynor that everyone will be wanting free websites, and tells her to mind her own business.
"Life's not fair sometimes," he laments
Angela reports her failure to get him a job at APD, and Eifion sighs, “Life’s not fair sometimes.”   She urges him not to lose heart, and to stay strong.
"Well, that's convinced her!"
“I’ll try,” he says, and when her back is turned, smiles broadly.
Slimy Hywel is back at the salon, where Sheryl again tells him, “There’s no future for us – I’m just a bit of fun to you!”
"One more chance is all I ask" . . .
He comes out with the usual, “It’s working for both of us, but we shall have to be more careful.   One more chance is all I ask.”
. . . and Sheryl is daft enough to agree
Sheryl is easily convinced;  “All right, one more chance, but I’m not coming to the house, and you can’t come to the salon.”
“Anything you want,” he assures her, and they kiss.
