Siôn is trying to dispose of bodies
Siôn goes to APD to see if they can help with the dead bodies in the wall, and explains that he means rats;  Dai is disappointed he did not bring “the lovely young woman from Patagonia,” with him.
"Yes, APD can solve your problem!"
Dai assures him that APD can solve his problem, and that it will be cheaper than calling in Pest Control.
"One week from now . . ."
Garry muses that a week from now, they will be having breakfast as husband and wife.   “Hopefully,” replies Dani, still worried about the rats, and lack of a best man;  “Does there have to be one?” Garry asks.   Then Siôn phones to tell them that APD are getting rid of the rats this morning.
Gwyneth sees a chance to haggle
As Diane is putting large bags of ironing into her car, Gwyneth suggests a mutually advantageous solution;  she and Sioned will help with ironing when she is busy, if Diane will drop the Unit rent to £200.   Diane agrees to this proposition.
"You want me to get rid of the rats?"
Eifion is drinking tea when Dai comes in with a wheelbarrow and long green gauntlets, for Eifion to use at Bethania.   “You’re an ex-farmer, you must eats rats for breakfast!” he says, and taunts Eifion,
"You're not scared of rats, are you?"
“You’re not scared of rats, are you?”
A decrepit step-ladder, held together with string
Eifion insists he has to fix the guttering first, and once outside, looks at the insecure downpipe and the rickety old step-ladder, formulating a plan.
Dani's shortlist of candidates for the best man vacancy
Garry is using the cash machine while Dani suggests names for a best man;  Garry rejects Iolo, after his performance last time, then Dani says, “Colin?   He’s not as daft as he looks.”   Garry then destroys her list.
"We still can't afford it!"
When Sioned arrives for work, Gwyneth announces what she has accomplished, but Sioned is insistent that they cannot afford £200, and anyway, she does not like ironing.
Siôn finds Dani and Garry in the café, and tells them that rat disposal is in progress, but he did notice there was no best man at the rehearsal.
Garry is getting tired of this best man business
This starts Dani off again, and Garry walks out, saying, “Stop nagging!”
The "accident victim", writhing in pain
Outside APD, Eifion sets up the scenario, lies on the ground, pushes over the ancient steps and loudly cries out in pain.
Diane is not too pleased with Dai
Diane rushes out and urges him not to move;  when Eifion tells her that the ladder is rotten, she looks accusingly at Dai.
"I think I may be able to walk"
When Angela has examined him and he maintains that the pain in his lower back is easing, they get him to his feet and he hobbles off home with Angela.   Dai realises now that there is no-one to do the work in Bethania but him.
Sioned prefers working at Gwyneth's
Sioned prefers to be working at Gwyneth’s, where nobody can see them, “And where do we do the ironing?” she asks.
“Do you consider ironing other people’s clothes beneath you?” demands Gwyneth, “Are you ashamed of work, or of working with an ex-con?   This is our chance to move on.
Gwyneth loses her temper
Work isn’t something people like!”
However, Gwyneth cannot afford to lose Sioned;  “You get on my nerves at times, but you’re good with clothes.”
"I suppose Ed might help with the ironing"
Sioned thinks Ed might help with the ironing, as he likes doing it.
APD to the rescue – at a price
Dai and his barrow arrive outside Bethania, but he cannot tell Siôn how much it will cost until the job is done.   “Better get moving,” says Dai, “Dead rats don’t shift themselves.”
Dai demonstrates his protective equipment
He adds that smells do not affect Ashursts, pulling his scarf up over his mouth and nose.
Sioned thinks perhaps it is a better workspace
Gwyneth and Sioned are inspecting their space at the Units, when Megan walks in;
Megan does not like to see them so happy
they tell her that they are moving in, and how she has done them a favour.   She turns and leaves, without a word.
The "invalid", extracting maximum benefit from his "misfortune"
Eifion is stretched out on the sofa, remembering to grimace when Angela is looking;  he tells her, “I’m gutted, getting injured in my first week back at work.   I feel so guilty.”
Angela is taken in by this, and says, “That ladder belongs at St Fagan’s – you could have broken your leg!”
Dani and Garry are in the Deri, telling Siôn that the chapel now smells of disinfectant, but that should disperse.
"What's all this about rats in Bethania?"
Siôn’s satifaction is soon shattered when Megan arrives, demanding why she was not consulted about the rat problem, but Siôn assures her it is all sorted now.
Dai is about to produce the bill from APD
Then Dai presents his bill to Siôn, who quickly hides it behind the till.   When Megan suggests that Dai could act as best man, Garry dismisses the idea;
“I would be afraid of getting a bill from him!”
Dai will not be pleased when he finds this is missing
Diane calls to see how Eifion is, and presents him with one of Dai’s favourite bottles of whisky, “Knockando Single Malt”, which makes him laugh, when no-one is looking.
Siôn attempts to hide the truth from Megan
Megan hassles Siôn about the bill, and is eventually told that it is for £360, then she offers to pay it as he is so busy with the Deri.
Siôn replies that he has to assess the work before paying, and that they get a month before payment is due.   Megan is beginning to be suspicious;
He hopes that she does not suspect anything
“There’s not a problem with Bethania’s accounts, is there?” and he of course denies such a thing.
Garry remembers Brandon
When Dani arrives home, Garry is pondering and tells her he was always going to have Brandon as his best man;  he does not like to think of someone else in Brandon’s shoes.
"I'm Garry blinkin' no mates," he tells Dani
He admits he does not really have any friends, “Garry blinkin’ no mates!” he tells her.

"We can find you a best man!"
Dani is confident;  “If we can get rid of a plague of rats, we can find you a best man!”
