Angela discovers a break-in by the hens
As Cadno hangs out the washing, Angela heads down to the tent, but soon emerges, shouting, “There’s a terrible mess in here, the hens must have got in!”   Immediately she blames Cadno, who denies having anything to do with it, then rushes into the farm, where Marian and Eifion are looking at old photos.
A hasty clean-up gets under way in Penrhewl's kitchen
“There’s muck and feathers everywhere,” Angela shrieks, so a hurried clear-up swings into action, but Cadno makes it clear that she has been told the tent is nothing to do with her.   During the clearing up, Eifion finds an egg of one of the wicker chairs, while Angela is clearing chicken droppings from the other.
Eifion seems rather pleased to have found a newly-laid egg
In the Deri, Jim warns Nansi not to show her face in the shop after her performance at Penrhewl last night;  after he goes to unload some slabs, Nansi tells Ed that people like Jim make the place seem unwelcoming.
Sioned is not keen to give Nansi her marching orders
Ed comes to the conclusion that Nansi will have to go, as she is upsetting his customers, and charges Sioned with the job of persuading her to leave;     “Some of the customers will not come here while she’s around.”
Sioned tries to be diplomatic about Nansi's accommodation
Sioned tells her that perhaps this is not the best place for her, as things might get nasty with the court case next week;  she adds that The Bull at Llanarthur has the same charges for B&B, but Nansi seems determined to stay.   Sioned recalls when Kevin locked her in the shop a few years ago, and displayed such a temper that she was afraid he would hit her, but Nansi naïvely replies, “You’re worrying unnecessarily – Kevin’s all right.”
"You two make a lovely couple," quips Jim
Rhys asks Lois if she wants to go to the Deri, but while they are there, Jim returns, exhausted by all the slabs, and tells Rhys that he may be carrying a few extra pounds, but he is happy with what he is, and remarks, “You two make a lovely couple!”   Rhys tells Lois that he wasted his time on Rachel, and Lois is a much nicer person than her.
Angela's "over the top" telephone manner
Marian take a phone call from the visitors, speaking in English, then Angela grabs the phone and puts on a posh voice, directing them the long way round via Cwrtmynach and Llanarthur, to give extra time to get ready.  All too soon, a posh Mercedes sports car, IIW712, arrives in the farmyard, and Angela effusively welcomes Felicity and Alistair;
Felicity and Alistair arrive in their top of the range Mercedes
Eifion mutters that the car is worth a fortune.
Ed is angry with Sioned for failing to get rid of Nansi;  Sioned says she is willing to stay and take the flak, but Ed is more bothered about the pub taking the flak, and losing customers.   Sioned says her Dad was fond of Nansi and would not have approved of ejecting her, but Ed reminds her, “He’s dead!”   At the height of their altercation, Nansi walks in and announces that she is leaving;  her bags are already packed.
"Now you know which side you're batting for!"
Jim’s parting comment to Rhys is that he will be playing cricket for Cwmderi, “Now you know which side you’re batting for.   After all, you’re your father’s son!”
Lois objects at being used to prove Rhys's sexual prowess
Lois realises that Rhys has used her so he can parade her before the pub customers to prove he can “pull” anyone, and leaves.   “What’s wrong with everyone?” asks Rhys.
Eifion again envies the visitors’ car – “Worth tens of thousands of pounds,” he says, and Cadno hopes the hens do not roost on it.
Cadno does not want strangers in the house, near her children
She objects when it becomes clear that the visitors will be using the facilities in the farmhouse;  she does not want strangers traipsing around the house while Bobi and Arthur are there.   Angela says all she does is criticise, and Marian intervenes, “Why do you two keep arguing all the while?”
Nansi has decided she is staying;  Diane is dumbfounded
Nansi marches into Bryntirion, saying that she should be there with Kevin, and he needs a mother's support.   She ignores Diane’s protests and settles herself on the sofa, where she will be sleeping, declaring it very comfortable.
