Nansi and Kevin do their best to persuade Diane
Nansi visits Bryntirion, and she and Kevin want Diane to be a character witness;  Diane half-heartedly says she will think about it.   Kevin takes this as a “Yes” and phones Elin to tell her the good news.
Diane is in the Deri when Anita arrives, and is again condemned for having Kevin in her house.   Diane says she cannot throw him out, as it is one of his bail conditions, and he is no danger to anyone else;
"Lover Boy" DJ starts working on Anita in the Deri
DJ, behind the bar, agrees with Anita, and after Diane has stormed out, talks to her about the days when she ran the pub.   Anita used to do the cooking, and DJ refers to an old “Cegin Anita” menu he found, and wants to learn about her recipes (he says).
Diane hears more unfavourable comments about Kevin
When Diane goes into the shop she overhears Cadno telling Eileen she will be glad when Kevin is out of their lives.   Cadno says there is no telling what he will do next.   Back at APD, Kevin arrives to say that Elin wants to go over what Diane will say in court, but Diane has reconsidered and will not be a character witness.
Kevin's demeanour turns threatening.  "You silly old bat!" he snarls
Kevin’s mood changes, following her into the shop and eventually grabbing her arm.   “Do you know what this means?   If you don’t do this, who knows what will happen!   I could do porridge for years!   I was relying on your support, and now it’s gone, you silly old bat!”   As he goes, Diane looks shocked.
Courtney with her welcome card
At the farm, Eifion and Angela are showing off their “Glamping” tent to Courtney, who wants to have sleepovers in it, and has designed a welcome card for the first visitors, from Marlow in Buckinghamshire.
Courtney is impressed by the interior of the "Glamping" tent
As DJ continues to “chat up” Anita, telling her that he had “a quarrel” in Ireland, and would like to discuss the menu with her, if she has the time, Kevin bursts in and goes upstairs to see his mother.
When he tells her what Diane said, Nansi cannot understand it, and wonders why “that Cadno” had to interfere.   Kevin tries to dissuade her from going back to the farm, but Nansi says she can be like a dragon, or she can be diplomatic.
At Bryntirion, DJ is waxing lyrical about the menus, which include, “Laverbread Balls and Samphire Sauce,” and “Venison Saddle with crushed Juniper.”   DJ says that the most exotic thing his father, Dic Deryn, tried was a kebab on a Saturday night, then, all of a sudden, kisses Anita.
This rather takes "older woman" Anita by surprise
She is rather taken aback, but DJ insists that he fancies older women;  that is why he fled from Ireland when the husband of his previous “older woman” found out.   Women his own age are so immature, he says, and Anita is, “So sexy!”   At this point Diane returns home, so Anita hurriedly leaves.
Nansi goes to see Cadno at the farm, while the others are outside, and far from being diplomatic, starts ranting about her giving evidence against, “Poor Kevin.”
“Everyone knows what young people get up to after a night out, but why make a meal of it?” she says.
Nansi gets rather heated and undiplomatic at Penrhewl
Cadno replies that he would not take no for an answer, and tells Nansi, “Now you’ve had your say, get out!   As they walk out of the farmouse, with Nansi still arguing, the others are approaching.
Nansi realises that she has outstayed her welcome at Penrhewl
Eifion asks, “Are you hassling Cadno?   You could be charged with intimidating a witness;  you’d better go before you regret coming here!”   A rather shame-faced Nansi slinks away from Penrhewl.
