14 April 2014

Dani has made an appointment for Thursday week and Garry is happy to take her there;  he leaves, but calls in at the salon to talk things over with Sheryl, which is not appreciated by Dani as she walks past.
Dani passes, and sees Garry chatting with Sheryl, again
Sheryl  seems much happier, and reveals that Kevin threatened Cadno;  Garry says he sometimes regrets that Kevin escaped from the boot.   She seems very understanding, realising that he has been in the situation before;  Gary asks, “What is it about me that makes the women I love not want my children?”

Debbie is not interested in Genealogy - "talk to Postman Pat," she says
Ricky has been given a choice of two subjects for Welsh Oral homework, and wants to do “roots” – family trees and that sort of thing.   Debbie tells him to get some help from “Postman Pat”.
Mark signs up for a year's membership
Mark looks at a Genealogy website, and takes out a years membership.   Later he is talking on the phone to his mother, jotting down two names, “Idris Jones and Flora Benson.”   He tells Ricky that all Debbie’s family will be in boring jobs or on the dole, so he should concentrate on his side of the family;  “To impress the school, stick to the Jones gene pool.
Ffion is worried that Rhys has something on his mind
In the Deri, Ffion detects that something is worrying Rhys;  he is not playing well at rugby, and seems moody.   She also tells Siôn that the case involving Chester goes before the governors on Thursday.   When Iolo comes in and tells Rhys he is supposed to be labouring, Rhys replies, “I’m not your slave!” and storms out.
"Can't get the staff," says Iolo, as Rhys storms out
“Can’t get the staff these days,” laments Iolo.
When Dani arrives at the salon, Sheryl reveals what Garry has told her, and says she has had a hard decision to make.   She also advises Dani to bear Garry’s feelings in mind when the present problem is over, as he bottles things up and is not as controlled as she thinks.   Sheryl says she has experience of Garry, at which point Dani begins to get angry;  “He is with me now!” she emphasises.
Siôn's ancestor was hanged for rioting!
As Debbie is closing the café, Mark talks to Siôn about family trees, and Siôn reveals that one of his ancestors, two hundred years ago, was Dic Penderyn, who was hanged for his part in the riots against the ironmasters;  Mark looks quite taken aback by this.   Then Debbie grabs Siôn’s cup and encourages them to leave.
"Oh dear!" says Ffion, when she hears the full story
Ffion goes round to talk to Iolo about Rhys, and he reveals the details of the photo on CnocCnoc, the pair of them soaking wet, and his arm round Rhys.   “Oh dear,” replies Ffion.   Later, when she speaks to Rhys in the Deri, he tells her he is getting stick from the rugby players, and Jim, at the bar, is telling Mark and Debbie, “Some people don’t know whether they’re gay or straight, or a bit of both,” and they all look across at Rhys.
Rhys, not happy that everyone is talking about his "orientation"
When Garry gets home, Dani tells him she does not like her private life discussed behind her back.   She tells him that Sheryl likes to think she understands, and warned her about Garry hiding his feelings.   He admits that when he was with Sheryl, most of the time he was not a nice person, but now he has changed, and that is because of Dani.
"This is the right decision — we're not keeping the baby."
He reassures her, “What you want is what matters to me.   This is the right decision – we’re not keeping the baby.”
