Jinx tells Hywel that these anonymous notes are taking their toll on him, but refuses to take time off, for fear of replacement by Anita, and says he will bring Arwen with him.   When Jinx calls at the Deri, to talk with Ed about the programme in the afternoon, Sioned wants to give Arwen a “cwtch”, but Jinx snaps at her.
Sioned incurs Jinx's wrath by suggesting she cuddle little Arwen
At APD, Dai complains to Mark that he is getting everyone else’s post;  when Mark tells him a tale about a new postman on the round, Dai reveals that the depot told him to talk to Mark.
Dai is complaining to Mark, angry at getting other people's post
Then Jim comes in, and Dai, with his usual insensitivity, tells him to forget Eileen and move on.
Anti Marian goes to visit Eileen, who says it has been far from easy lately, and the article in the paper made things worse.   When Marian tells her she should be celebrating that she is still alive, that she has two daughters and a grand-daughter, Eileen replies that she has lost one of her daughters.   Marian clearly states Eileen is in the wrong;  “No wonder you can’t see the way forward if you have turned your back on Jim.”   Despite Eileen’s protestations that the easiest thing is to keep away from everyone, Marian insists that she phone Jim, now.
Marian instructs Eileen to phone Jim, right now!
Dai answers the phone at APD and tells her that Jim does not want to talk to her, but Jim bellows at him, “Give me that phone!”   He agrees to go and see Eileen straightaway.   When he arrives, Eileen admits that she has messed up badly, and does not have the guts to face people;  she has let down her nearest and dearest, and deserves to be punished.   “My biggest mistake was not marrying you!   Can you give me a second chance?   Come back and live here.”
Jim is taken aback;  “Days without a hearing a word, and now this?” he says, unable to cope, and leaves.
Mark is in the Deri with Gemma, enjoying pie and chips, when he is summoned for an urgent meeting at the Royal Mail depot, and leaves that lovely plate of chips, without explaining to Gemma.
Mark has hurried off, leaving Gemma and his plate of pie and chips
Later he tries to play down the problem, but Gemma forces him to admit that he has been given an official warning.   Gemma says that their planned night out at the Phoenix will be postponed until Saturday night;  “Your job comes first,” she tells him.
At 2pm the programme begins, with Jinx introducing Ed, his guest, to talk about the problems of running a village pub;  Arwen is sleeping in her pram in Hywel’s office.
Quite innocent visitor to Hywel's office at CwmFM who makes Jinx suspicious
When Jinx hears someone talking to Hywel, and sees the woman bending over Arwen, he leaves the microphone and shouts to Hywel.   After reassuring Jinx that the child is all right, the phone-in continues, with Dai having an unwelcome rant on the phone.   After the programme, Hywel tells Jinx that he is too stressed and cannot cope at the station;  “Take two weeks off, and don’t come back until you’ve sorted yourself out.”
Sioned:  "You'd be a fool to agree!" which makes Jim change his mind
Jim calls at the Deri for a double whisky, and tells Sioned her mother wants him to move back in.   Sioned retorts, “That is what suits her – I’ve never met anyone so selfish.   You’d be a fool to agree!”
Eileen is ironing when Jim returns, and regrets saying what she did earlier;  when Jim says he has been thinking, she assumes, “And you don’t want anything else to do with me.”
He produces the ring and says, “It’s what we both want, isn’t it?   Life’s too short to . . . Will you?”
"It's what we both want, isn't it?   Will you?"
Eileen gasps, “Are you serious?   Oh, Jim!” and they embrace.
