At Penrhewl, Eifion tells Cadno that Bobi had a good time with him yesterday, and Cadno warns that courts side with the mother in custody cases.   

Kevin dismisses last night as a misunderstanding;  Cadno is uneasy

Kevin arrives, apologises for last night, and dismisses the matter as a drunken misunderstanding.   Later, Eifion warns her she will not get the children after what she has done;  “Cadno replies, “Done what?   Been in prison, sold a gun, stalked someone?”

As Meic cleans the café windows, Kevin approaches and Meic asks him why he turned on Cadno like that.   Kevin says he was drunk and it was a misunderstanding;  she was playing silly games.   Meic says he knows exactly what he saw.   Meic then calls Sheryl round to ask her to go with him to the police;  although he tells what he saw, she refuses to go with him.   

Meic tells DS Fielding that Kevin admitted the rape of Sheryl

Meic then goes to the police alone, and tells them that Kevin admitted the rape to him, and relates what happened last night.   DS Fielding says she will speak to Kevin again, as new evidence has come to light, and it is not long before she arrests him in the Deri, as he is not keen to go to the station, much to the consternation of Betty.   As he is put in the police car, he shouts to Sheryl, “Why are you doing this to me again?”

Cadno says that they should sell the farm and each start afresh, but Eifion will not sell his share;  Marian surprises them by saying, “That’s why I want to buy Cadno’s share, so that the children will have a stable home.”

Sheryl rushes, past Gwynfor and John, chatting in the street, to Meic’s and when he tells her he has been to the police, admits what really happened last year:  Kevin did rape her, but when he tried to pay her to withdraw the accusation, she nearly killed him with the iron.   “If I had doubts before I went to the police, I certainly don’t now!” retorts Meic.

Kevin is questioned by DS Fielding, and when told there is new evidence, immediately rants aggressively about Debbie ruining him and putting up the posters;  he has lost everything because of her.   He is then informed that it was not his wife’s evidence, but that of his father.

Sheryl goes to see Cadno, and admits to her that Kevin is dangerous and did rape her;  she withdrew the accusation as there was no proof, and she did not want Wil dragged through all that.   Now that she recognises that Kevin might do it again, she must act.   Cadno realises she has had a narrow escape, and tells Sheryl that Kevin had accused all women of being the same, and it was their fault.   Sheryl says that she has only one course of action, and after telling Meic what she is going to do, heads to the police station, where she says her original statement was the truth, and now she knows he could do it again.

DS Fielding is confident that they have a strong case, and after terminating the interview at 2.45pm, says she is determined that this case will not be thrown out before it comes to court.
