3 March 2014

Jim, looking happier than for weeks, has prepared breakfast for Eileen
When Eileen wakes late, she finds Jim has prepared croissants for breakfast and the shop is all sorted.   Eileen says that they must tell the girls as soon as possible, and arranges to go to the Deri to talk to them.   They must be told everything – with no more secrets.
Then Jim, smiling broadly, goes to APD to announce the wedding;  Diane is delighted, but Dai is his usual miserable self, even when Jim wants him to be best man;  Diane says he will be delighted.
Dani receives a letter about the competition final, which unsettles her;  later, in the salon, she is flapping, which troubles Sheryl as there are several customers.
Dani cannot face the pressure of the Beauty Therapist competition
Finally, Dani panics, saying that she cannot face it;  she will only make a mess of things and freeze in front of the cameras.  She is just a dumb blonde, and she is pulling out of the competition.
Garry does not want to be known as a reader of Knitting magazines
Garry catches up with Mark in the street, with a wrong magazine he delivered to the garage;  “I don’t want people thinking that Garry Monk is into knitting!” he complains.
Eileen and Jim announce the wedding, just before Sioned stalks off
Sioned is her usual abrasive self when Jim and Eileen walk in, and it is announced they are to marry in a fortnight;  Angela is genuinely pleased, but Sioned says, “I haven’t got time for this,” and stalks off.   When they have all gone, Sioned tells Ed that it is embarrassing enough as it is, without a wedding as well;  “It’s always got to be about her – she wants all the attention, and Angela is two-faced!” she moans.
Ed tells her she cannot stop people falling in love.   Sioned scoffs, “Love?   Please!   All this happy families is enough to turn my stomach.   I’m the problem – I don’t want to share Mam;  when they marry it will tie us all together.”
Gemma and Mark call at the shop and congratulate Eileen;  Mark thinks it strange that she is marrying her former son-in-law, and says that Sioned does not want to play second fiddle to anyone.   Soon after Mark gets home, he falls asleep on the sofa, as Gemma is preparing to go out for a run.
These late nights are getting too much for Mark, 40 next week
Angela and Jim tell Courtney about the wedding, and she seems happy about being a bridesmaid.
Dani goes home and announces that she will not take part in the competition;  Garry is very diplomatic, stating that she will be letting Sheryl down by pulling out, and she is easily able to do it, but it is her decision.   Later, as he massages her shoulders and she is thinking more clearly, she comes round to his point of view, instead saying that she can handle it – “I can do it easily!” she confidently states.
Dani, now more relaxed, agrees that she can do it easily
Dai is in the Deri, spouting his opinion of the forthcoming marriage, when Jim arrives;  Dai tells him, “She is a bit temperamental;  get a “pre-nup” or she’ll have all your money!”   Jim is incensed and shouts, “Forget about being best man — you’re sacked!”
After his outburst, Dai is told he is no longer best man
Sioned’s answer to Angela, when asked if she wants her Mam to be happy, is, “The whole thing is insane!”
Ricky tells Courtney that his dad and Gemma are getting too “lovey-dovey”, and Courtney is wondering what her friends will say about the marriage;  Ricky tells her that if she gets any trouble, she should let him know.
