She tells him she has been flat-hunting
Gemma looks at a site on her laptop, “Fun things to do on a night out”, but when Mark gets back from his round, she tells him she has been out looking for a flat.   When he says he saw one in Llanarthur Road, she replies that it has gone, and that she will try again tonight.
The lady from Tomos ac Ellis confirms the flat is still available
When she has left for work, Mark visits Tomos ac Ellis, and is told that the flat he mentioned is still on the market.
Mark suggests an ideal lodger for Gwyneth
Then Mark sees Gwyneth, and suggests that she has a spare room, which would be ideal for Gemma.   As Gwyneth could use some money, she is quickly persuaded.
"You ought to mention the co-operative on CwmFM"
At the café, Meic is handing out leaflets for people to deliver;  John takes some, and Meic suggests to Hywel that the co-operative could be publicised on CwmFM.
Colin wants Hywel to look at his phone . . .
Colin is having trouble with his phone, and asks Hywel to take a look, but Hywel is too busy eyeing Sheryl, when she comes in with her pledge;
. . . but Hywel has other things to look at
as soon as she leaves, Hywel gives back the phone and follows her, Meic refusing payment for his coffee.
Sioned is preparing to give the Deri a good clean, so that it looks its best for the auction.
"Meic Pierce giving away a free cup of coffee!"
Colin sees her and Angela, telling them he has seen a miracle;  “Meic Pierce giving away a free coffee to a customer!”   Sioned says that he denied winning the lottery, but Colin says he has the latest phone and everything.
When Angela goes into the café, she tells Meic that the Deri has not been a good investment for her in the past.
Debbie's divorce is going through
Debbie confides to her that it is going to be a good week, as her divorce from Kevin is going through.   “It was the biggest mistake of my life, but if I hadn’t gone through that, I might not have fallen for Meic.”   Inevitably, he hears this.
Colin is after some of Meic's millions
Then Colin comes in, telling Meic a tale of woe, how his phone has packed up, just out of warranty, he has no insurance, and a shortage of money.   “Meic looks puzzled;  “What do you expect me to do about it?”   When Colin says he could share his millions, he again denies he has any millions, and Debbie demands, “What are you doing, begging in here?”
Meic reprimands her for giving Colin his marching orders;  “I don’t want you fussing over me,” he tells her.
Gwyneth ponders taking Gemma as a lodger
In the salon, Gwyneth tells Sheryl about her possible lodger, and concedes it is lonely when Gwern is not there.   Sheryl advises her to try it for a month.   Mark is just passing, so Gwyneth calls him and tells him she will want a month’s rent in advance.
Sheryl looks at Hywel,  or his microphone, with distaste
Then Hywel arrives, wanting to interview Sheryl about the Deri co-operative for CwmFM, and will not take “No” for an answer.
"I don't intend to move anywhere"
Meanwhile, Sioned has popped in to see Gemma and return a DVD to her.   Gemma admits that Mark thinks she is looking for somewhere to live, but she does not want to move out.   She intends to take him out somewhere, so that he will take her back, and Sioned suggests a tribute band.
"This is the perfect solution for both of you," says Mark
Then Mark comes in with Gwyneth, saying that she is looking for a lodger;  despite Gemma’s excuses, Mark says she cannot afford to be fussy, so Gemma puts on a false smile and says, “It sounds perfect!”
"No, I don't want to move!"
When they have gone, Gemma demands, “Why did she have to stick her nose in?”   Sioned invites her to stay with her and Ed until the Deri is sold, and make up with Ed, but Gemma is adamant that she just does not want to move.
“Maybe we could stay for a night somewhere, or even a weekend.   Somewhere far away from here – a new start!”
"I'd love to see you!"
Mark has a phone call at home;  “You’re welcome to stay here,” he says, “I’d love to see you.”
I have never heard of Factory 14, Bristol . . .
Then Gemma returns and in order to thank him for all he has done, gives him a ticket for a gig, a Swinging 70s Night, in Bristol on the 10th.
. . . or The Old Port Hotel, for that matter
He thinks it sounds great, but when she tells him she has booked a hotel for a couple of nights, he loses interest.
"I don't want to do things with you any more!"
“It’s not a good idea, I don’t want the ticket!   Cancel it!   I told you, I don’t want to do things with you any more!”
Thwarted again!
Gemma is forced to tell him to go on his own, so as not to waste the tickets, “You deserve it!” she lies, and when he agrees, she has to accept she has been foiled again.
Debbie will cook Meic a special meal
Angela brings her pledge to the café, giving it to Debbie, who moans that Meic shouted at her, just when things were going so well;  she resolves to spoil him with a fancy meal.
"I think it is something to do with 'settings'"
Meic has gone round to see Colin, and looks at his inoperative phone;  he had the same sort of problem and found it was to do with “settings”.
It is working again, and Meic reminisces about old times
As he tinkers, he talks of the old days, before mobiles, and how life was simpler then, finally restoring Colin’s phone to life.   As Colin says sorry for attempting to take advantage of him, Meic leaves, saying, “There’s something I have to do!”
"Fancy a couple of nights in Bristol?"
Mark returns the phone call;  “Do you fancy a couple of nights in Bristol?   I’m not joking – I’ve got tickets for a gig and a hotel room.   Are you game?   Great!”
Just as Debbie hears the broadcast interview with Sheryl, Meic arrives home and tells her he has something to say;  first he apologises for being short with her.
Meic gets as far as apologising, but then Debbie takes over
But before he can continue, Debbie tells him she knows that he was scared by her saying that she had “fallen for him,” telling him that he has made her so happy and that they now need to enjoy themselves.   She is going to cook him the best steak he has ever had.
Meic looks decidedly apprehensive
Meic sits down and looks worried.
