Madge and Geraint are the latest in a procession of investors
At Meic’s house, Madge and Geraint come in with their IOUs for the Deri Venture, but then Megan arrives;  as she has been away, she knew nothing of the meeting, and berates Meic for not informing her.
Megan feel slighted that she was not asked to be in charge
She does not like being left out of things, and concludes that she does not want to invest in the project.
"Bethania is the centre of the village"
In the café, Marian tells Debbie that the Deri is not the centre of the village, “That’s Bethania!” she insists, and adds, “People would get more comfort there than at the bottom of a pint glass.”
"Do you fancy a trip to Carmarthen?"
As she leaves the café, DJ asks her if she fancies a ride to Carmarthen, as he needs the benefit of her expertise.
On his post round, Mark meets Gemma, who says they will have to leave at seven tomorrow for the craft fair;  when he has gone, Sioned passes and tells Gemma that she and Ed are back together.
Gemma will not comment on her relationship with Mark
Gemma will not comment on the relationship between her and Mark.
Meic attempts to pacify Megan
Despite Anita’s objections, Meic sents an apologetic text to Megan, saying that he does not like an atmosphere of ill-feeling.
"We'll make a good team behind the bar"
Debbie calls him to come for tea and cake at the café, but he is too busy with the figures.   She remarks that they will make a good team behind the bar of the Deri.
"I just saw DJ outside the café, and he looked fine"
Mark delivers a long, narrow parcel to the farm, and Cadno bewails the face that she is so busy, as DJ is off with a migraine.   “He looked fine when I saw him outside the café,” replies Mark, snaffles one of Cadno’s freshly-baked Welsh Cakes, and goes.
Sioned tells Anita that Meic was taking advantage . . .
Anita sees Sioned in the shop, and is told in no uncertain terms that Meic was taking advantage, by setting up this co-operative even before the Deri was put on the market.
. . . and Anita puts her straight
Anita maintains that she ought to be grateful to him – at least the place will not be hanging around for months before it sells.
Megan thinks that she can get on to the co-operative committee . . .
As a result of Meic’s text, Megan returns to his house, explaining that she felt hurt at being left out, and presents him with her IOU for £8,000;
. . . by means of a sizeable shareholding
it appears that she hopes her generosity will result in her becoming chairman of the committee, or at least secretary or treasurer.
Sioned comes to wish Meic luck with the venture
Then Sioned appears to wish Meic, “Good luck,” with the venture;  she says, “It’s hard to let go, but I’m trying,” which surprises Meic.   “There’s a first time for everything – I’m glad she’s seen the light!” he tells Anita.
Mark thinks something serious is the matter
Mark is in the shop when he receives an anguished phone call from Gemma, wanting him to come straight home.
There is that conspiratorial, manipulative smile again
When he arrives, she spins him a tale about requiring photos for the craft fair, and he agrees to take some of her modelling her jewellery.
Gemma wants photographs taken
“I did O-level Art,” he tells her, “But I didn’t pass!”
Cadno hears of Marian's country drive with DJ
Cadno is angry at not being able to contact DJ, then Marian reveals she has been for a lovely ride to Carmarthen with him.
"There is the answer," says Marian
She leads Cadno out to the field where she points out another ram.   DJ apologises for his lies, and says he needed Marian, who got him a good deal.   “I’m an old hand at it,” boasts Marian.
Meet Casanova, the new ram
DJ tells Cadno to call the ram Casanova – “He’s got a lot of work to do with his lady friends,” he says , and Cadno hugs him.
Where has this money come from, then?
Meic is looking at a bank book in the name of Alys Eira Howarth which shows a deposit of £10,000.   He tells Debbie that he has started an account each for her and Wil, and impresses her with his generosity.
Is Debbie beginning to see the financial advantages of Meic?
“They’re lucky to have you for a grandfather,” she tells him, “And Ricky and I are lucky to have you.”
She has not intended to say that!
As they eat their lunch, she expresses how much she is looking forward to being in the middle of the action with the Deri;  “That’s why I love you!” she says, but then regrets saying it.    Meic replies, “I think the world of you, but I’m not good with words.”
"Don't!   We're just friends now!"
Mark is still snapping photos of Gemma;  she thanks him for helping with a kiss, then moves in for a closer embrace, which Mark repels with, “Don’t!   We’re just friends now, I told you that!”
When Gemma says that she knows he wants to, he sternly answers, “Too much has changed – just leave it!
"I think it would be better if you moved out!"
I’m not taking any more photos, and you can find someone else to take you to Cardiff.   I think it would be better if you moved out – it’s not a good idea to live together any more, OK?”
"You can't throw me out after one mistake"
Gemma protests, “You can’t throw me out after one mistake!” but Mark is in no mood to change his mind.   “It was only temporary – you must have some friends left.   I don’t want you here, all right?”
Gemma continues her whining;  “You’re the one person I thought I could rely on.   Hope you can sleep tonight, while I freeze to death under a bridge somewhere!”
"I want you out at the beginning of next week – no nonsense!"
Mark finally relents;  “OK, stay until you find a flat, or a room!   But I want you out at the beginning of next week – no nonsense!”
