Dylan Bevan's car arrives at school
Ffion watches the children arriving at school;  a red car arrives, and inside it Elliw tells her father she is thinking of putting the baby up for adoption.
"I talked to Mrs Llywelyn about it"
She says she has talked to Mrs Llywelyn about it;  “She understands as she is going through the same thing.”   Her dad says it is not wise to talk to her about it.
Ed flexes his muscles, having cancelled his gym membership
Ed, showing off his fitness by doing press-ups, is surprised when Gemma comes out of her room, and is about to go outside.   She tells him she is stronger now, and has some things to do.   Ed has to find a roof over their heads, he tells Sioned.
Gwyneth tells Megan that she has almost finished work on two dresses for sale in the charity shop.
"I was hoping you were long gone by now!"
When Gemma approaches, Debbie remarks, “I was hoping you were long gone by now!”
Ffion faces a disgruntled Dylan Bevan
Mr Dylan Bevan arrives at Ffion’s office as she is talking with Gaynor.   He is angry, having misinterpreted the situation and accuses Ffion.   “Stop discussing Elliw’s pregnancy!   She’s in a vulnerable position, and it’s not for you to try and convince her to have the baby adopted.
"I did discuss the options with Elliw"
Ffion admits she discussed the options with Elliw, and Dylan continues, “Before or after telling her you want to adopt a baby?   Did you see your opportunity?”
"I'm making an official complaint!"
Gaynor steps in to say the matter will be investigated fully, but Dylan has not finished;  “That’s not good enough!   She took advantage of her position to manipulate my daughter!   I’m making an official complaint!”
When he has left, Gaynor advises Ffion to contact her union, to avoid leaving with a black mark against her name.
Siôn seems very naïve about running a pub
Siôn is in the Deri’s cellar, stocktaking, and Ed asks him if he should take his name down from above the pub door.
A licence?   What's that?
“You can’t sell alcohol without a licence,” he says, to Siôn’s obvious surprise.
“I’ll leave my name over the door, on condition that you let us live here, rent-free,” he suggests, and Siôn readily agrees, until noticing that the beams above him seem to be in a poor state.
Whoops!   Rotten beams right under the bar!
Ed suspects the dry rot may cost £5,000 to repair, and Siôn immediately cancels their deal, and wants Ed out as soon as the money comes through.   “Didn’t you have a survey done?” queries Ed.
"It's not the first time you've deceived people"
Ffion has sent an e-mail to Gaynor, detailing the exact circumstances, but Gaynor call it, “Your story,” and reminds her it is not the first time she has deceived people to have a baby.   “There is a simple answer to this – how about if I can arrange for you not to work your notice?   It will avoid bad feeling and an investigation.”
"Go to hell, Gaynor!" says Ffion, with feeling
“After all these years, this is all the thanks I get!” replies Ffion, “And the only reason I’m accepting the offer is to spare Elliw’s feelings!   Go to hell, Gaynor!” and she storms out of the school.
Typical school, with boxes and sacktrucks left around
Gaynor tells Elliw and her father, “Mrs Llywelyn has already left the premises,” but Elliw demands of her father, “Why did you do that?   You got it wrong, dad – she didn’t tell me she was adopting.
"You've ruined everything!"
I asked her, and she refused.   You’ve ruined everything!”
Sioned at the café, looking for Gemma
Anwen is again working in the café (where is Gwen?) when Sioned comes in, looking for Gemma.
Sioned looks at Gwyneth's abandoned dresses
Gwyneth has just ordered tea and a cake, but is called away as Gwern is ill, and leaves her bag of repaired dresses behind.
Angela suspects she has a secret admirer
Angela comes in and tells Debbie she has a secret admirer, as someone left a box of chocolates on her kitchen table.   “Welsh chocolates, with a note saying he wants to meet you at the Bull at 7:00pm?” says Debbie.
"Mark also has chocolates - there's something odd about this!"
“How did you know?” asks Angela, and Debbie tells her Mark has had the same thing, and there is something odd about it.
They hear a noise in the kitchen, and find Gemma there, writing another note, and another box of chocolates.
Someone odd is prowling about
“I told you someone odd was prowling about,” says Debbie, then addresses Gemma.
"You're off your head!"
“This won’t make up for what you did!   You’ve really lost the plot!   You’re off your head!   Get out – I don’t want to see you in here again!”   The chocolates go straight in the bin.
Sioned buys a £15 dress — she is supposed to be selling hers!
Sioned takes the bag of dresses back to Gwyneth, and buys one for £15;  she suggests that Gwyneth could earn herself some cash if she were not doing it for the Maenan Appeal.
"Sorry, one of the dresses was no good!"
So it is that only one repaired dress arrives at Megan’s shop, together with the excuse that the other fell apart as the hem was rotten.   Megan invites her to look through a box of clothes for anything that could be repaired.
You do not visit a school teacher at home, surely?
Elliw and her father call at Ffion’s flat where he apologises profusely, and Ffion explains that she does not want to endanger her adoption process.
Elliw pleads with Ffion not to leave
Elliw does not want Ffion to leave the school, and Dylan assures her that he will make sure that Gaynor understands the real situation.   Ffion says that she will be glad to get away from that place, and predicts that Elliw will do well in her exams.
There is something seriously wrong with Gemma
Back in the Deri flat, Ed and Angela try to talk to Gemma, but she retreats to her room again.
Siôn discovers some of the trials of being a pub landlord
Ed goes back down to the cellar, where Siôn is anxious as APD are being obstructive about the repairs.   Ed offers the £3,000 he will have left after paying his debts if he will let them stay for a while;  he is afraid that moving will push Gemma “over the edge.”
"It's about time I started behaving like a Christian"
Siôn replies that they can stay, and he does not want the money;  “I claim to be a Christian,” he says, “It’s about time I started behaving like one, or I won’t have any friends left!”
Dylan comes out of the shop and meets Gaynor;  he tells her he did Ffion an injustice, and Elliw is threatening to leave the school if Ffion does not return.
Dylan Bevan entreats Gaynor
“If there’s anything you can do, please make her come back – I’m begging you!”
