"Am I interrupting something?"
Inside APD, Dai is giving Eifion some putting tuition when Iolo arrives to collect his order.
"That is not the way you putt"
While Dai is fetching it, Iolo points out that you do not putt like that, but keep your head still, above the ball, and push it, “But who am I to argue with Cwmderi’s Trevino?”   Eifion asks if he could give him some tips at the house.
Hywel comes into the salon, full of boasts about winning the competition, adding, “It wouldn’t have been possible without one special chef!”
Gaynor seems unimpressed by what Hywel says
Sheryl makes faces at him until he notices who is in the hairdresser’s chair, under the hair rollers – Gaynor!
Gaynor issues a veiled threat to Sheryl
After he has hurriedly left, Sheryl says her part in the proceedings was to make a “rubbish” plait, “But it was a bit of fun!”   Gaynor replies ominously, “As long as that’s all it was!”
Ed has not slept . . .
Ed has not slept all night, and this morning has changed his mind;  “She has been a burden for years, and almost destroyed us, but they are my family, the only one I’ve got.”
. . . but he is withdrawing the accusation agains Gemma
Sioned is afraid this means Gemma is coming back to live with them, but Ed continues, “Now it’s time for Andrew to try to be her father.   It may be too late, but I’m withdrawing the accusation.”
Apparently there have been thefts from the shop
As Hywel talks to Llinos about thefts from the shop, Sheryl comes out of the salon.
"Gaynor has warned me off!"
Hywel says she should have warned him Gaynor was there, and Sheryl refuses a celebratory drink, as she thinks she has been “warned off” by Gaynor.   Hywel assures her that he will sort it out.
"Are you interested in handbags?"
Gethin surreptitiously approaches Sheryl and asks if she likes handbags;  “Call round at number 7 later,” he invites her.
Gemma has been let out on bail
Andrew and Gemma are back from the police station;  she is on bail until the CPS make a decision on the case.   Andrew tells them, “We are going to have another go at this father-daughter thing.”   Gemma says that if she had not spent the night in a cell, she would not have realised what her father did for her.
Is it me, or does Gemma have that "scheming" look again?
Andrew adds that they have reached some kind of understanding, and need to get to know each other again, although Gemma does not look entirely sincere about this.
Iolo demonstrates the correct putting technique
At Angela’s house, Iolo demonstrates the correct way to putt, and goes to Y Felin to get a book of golfing tips.   When he comes back, Eifion tells him that Dai said that in a certain situation it is admissible to pick up the ball.
No, that’s impossible!” states Iolo, “It says so quite clearly in this book.   You must read all the rules and get it right!”
"You must get the rules right"
Eifion is getting suspicious;  “Is Dai trying to make a fool of me?   Will you give me a few lessons?   I’ll pay you in beer!”
Iolo looks happy at the prospect of beer
This meets with Iolo’s approval.   “Deal?” asks Eifion, and spits on his hand before offering it to Iolo, who will not touch it, and leaves.
Andrew is  distraught at how things have affected Gemma
As Gemma packs her bags, Andrew says that he could not believe that the arguments and sniping between him and Gemma’s mother would affect her so much.
"I had to take your place!"
“After all that happened, I had to take your place!   Then after all that time, I lost you again!”
Again, do I detect a certain insincerity?
Gemma assures him that this time she will stay with him.
Hywel finds a romantic meal being prepared . . .
Hywel comes home early and finds Gaynor preparing his favourite meal of Welsh lamb.
. . . and Gaynor seems rather amorous
She tells him they do not make time for each other like they used to,
She has tickets  for a Blues Band
and produces tickets for the Blues Band he likes, in Swansea tonight!
Sheryl, looking longingly at the "lovely" handbag
Sheryl is at number 7, enthusing over the sample handbag Gethin shows her;  “You wouldn’t get much change out of £500 for this,” she tells him.   He urges her to take it, as an early Christmas present, and quickly, before he changes his mind.
"It's not from the back of the van?"
As she leaves, Iolo comes in;  “Please don’t tell me that came from the back of the van,” he says, and Gethin replies, “Stop fussing like an old woman!”   The phone rings – it is Garry checking that the van was collected according to instructions.
"Yes, Garry, nothing to worry about"
Gethin reassures him, “Everything went like clockwork, nothing to worry about.”
"According to this book, you've been misleading me"
Eifion visits Dai and points out that some of what he has been teaching is wrong.   “I’ve been checking this book, and it seems someone has been teaching you wrongly.   I know things are hard for you after what happened at the club, and you have behaved like a gentleman,” Eifion explains.
He leaves the Golfing Tips book with Dai
He finishes by saying, “We understand each other then?” and leaves the book with Dai, so he can do some revision.
As Sioned apologises for what she said yesterday, Gemma tells her she was telling the truth.
Andrew is quite relaxed about going away and starting again
Andrew is not sure where they will go, and does not care.   He urges Ed not to worry as they will be all right;  “I hope I can be as good a father as you’ve been.”
Gemma hugs Ed
Gemma hugs Ed and then Sioned;  they pick up their bags and leave.

When they have gone Sioned kisses Ed
Sioned kisses Ed.
