Llinos vents her anger at Gwyneth
A business meeting is going on in Bethania, with Siôn distributing a schedule of services until Christmas, when Gwyneth comes in, offering to help.   Llinos uncharacteristically speaks up, “She shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near the pulpit!”   Britt has also arrived, and asks, “What is she doing here?   What’s all this sudden interest in the chapel?”
Llinos and Betty get up to leave at Britt's instigation
When Gwyneth says she will go, Siôn wants her to stay, so Britt asks, “I believe this meeting should end — agreed?” and several of the members get up and leave.   Siôn is at pains to point out to Gwyneth that it is not her fault.
When the rather depleted meeting continues, Siôn tries to point out that he believes Gwyneth has changed, and trusts her.   He hopes that the others will feel the same, but there is a stony silence, so he closes the meeting.
Britt angrily tells him if he carries on like this, he will lose most of his congregation.
"You're pathetic!" is Britt's considered opinion
When he insists Gwyneth has changed, Britt develops her snarl, “You believe that?   She’s making a fool of you – you’re pathetic!   She is using this place to get people to like her – she’s learned to use people.”   Siôn replies that it is lucky everyone is not as bitter as her, and she continues, “Blame everyone, without seeing what’s right under your nose.   Maybe saving Gwyneth means more to you than anything else!”
Ed'd brother, Andrew, has suddenly turned up
In the Deri, as Ed signs for a delivery, he looks up and his brother Andrew is standing there;  he says he is dying of thirst, and Ed agrees that he can stay there for a while, and help behind the bar.   Ed fills him in on recent events – he is no longer with Angela, but with Sioned, and Andrew reveals he has been working on an oil rig.
Gaynor had great expectations about this job
Gaynor is most upset that she did not get the job, and in fact was not even shortlisted;  she tells Hywel she thought she would “walk into the job.”
Gemma is surprised to see her father back in the village
When Gemma arrives at the Deri she is amazed to see her father there, and asks why he just disappeared without telling her.
Dani is looking on the internet for a wedding photographer, but Garry thinks they do not need a lot of photos;  he wants to enjoy the day without spending a fortune.   Then they have an unwelcome visit from Gwyneth, who tells them she is struggling with the situation, and has contacted CARCO, an organisation who help mothers bond with their children;  she shows them their leaflet.
Garry and Dani look at the CARCO leaflet
She asks if she can bring their representative, Rosalind Thomas, with her on Thursday when she sees Gwern.
Dani does some checking into this CARCO concern
Garry has no objection, but Dani is suspicious, and when Gwyneth has gone, rings their number and looks on their website, which she says looks very poor;  Garry is confident that Gwyneth would not be so stupid as to try anything, as she is on parole.
Andrew tries to persuade Gemma to put the past behind her
Gemma is feeling guilty, as Andrew spent twelve years in prison for what she had done, but he tells her he is glad he did it, and wants her to forget all about it, and not dwell on the past.
Britt once again shouts at Siôn
At home, where Britt is doing the ironing, she urges Siôn to come to his senses;  “You’re better off staying away from her!   I never thought you were a traitor!”   Siôn takes note of what she said, and goes to Gwyneth’s to suggest she ought to adopt a low profile in the chapel, and just be in charge of the flowers for the time being.   “No-one will see me, so I won’t embarrass you,” she taunts him, but agrees.
Gwyneth is planning something for Thursday
As soon as he has gone she calls someone on her mobile;  “Hiya, it’s going well – see you on Thursday.”
Hywel is told to go and see his doctor
Hywel has had a phone call, and agrees to make an appointment with his doctor;  later, when Gaynor is still going on about interior design, and Hywel does not fancy his lunch, she somehow gets the idea that the phone call was to do with arranging a surprise for her.
Hywel is keeping a secret, but not what Gaynor thinks
Of course, he does not tell her the truth.
Andrew is chatting to Gemma, who tells him she is in a relationship with an older man, when Mark the older man, comes in.
Mark will try and hide the fact that he is Gemma's partner
Mark gives the impression that he is Gemma’s landlord, and tells Gemma that he would not be pleased if his daughter were seeing someone older than him.
Siôn arrives home, with moussaka for dinner, but Britt is not interested;  when he tells her where he has been, her temper flares again.   “I don’t want to eat with you!   Why can’t you put your wife first?”
