Gaynor is having a "day off sick"
Hywel tells Gaynor that she will be late for work, but she is composing a text to say she is unwell;  she is going to be interviewed at CwmFM.
Hywel covers for Gaynor when her employer phones
Jinx comes to collect her, and as soon as she has gone, her employer phones, and Hywel has to tell them she will be better tomorrow.
Garry checks things with the registrar
Garry has phoned the registrar about the wedding, and everything is in order;  Dani is excited, and Gemma, who is visiting, puts on a pretence of excitement too.
Dani is incredulous that Gemma could suggest such a thing
As Gemma and Dani are having a coffee outside the Deri in the sunshine, Gemma begins to suggest that the mystery texter might not be Gwyneth, it could be Garry.
Dani is scornful of the idea, “Yes, the man I’m going to marry!   Why didn’t I think of that?”   Gemma asks who else knows so much about her, and is of the opinion that you never know with men.
Colin hears about a big break for him and Mark
Colin, carrying a box of vegetables, passes, looking for Mark, and receives a phone call from an Eistedfod official;  “Oh, I’m sorry to hear that – of course we’ll help!” he says.   Gemma continues that she wants Dani to consider every possibility, recalling that Lee seemed nice and quiet, but he was very sinister.
Dani tries to get it through to Gemma – "It's not Garry!"
Dani has by this time had enough;  “You don’t realise how close we are – Garry trusts me to bring up his child, and that means everything to a family like the Monks.   How would you feel if I said that about Mark?   It is not Garry!”
She has never worn lipstick before – must be up to something
She leaves to go shopping, and Gemma looks across to the garage, where Garry waves to her;  she has an idea, and puts on some bright red lipstick, a very uncharacteristic action.
They seem to have forgotten the chilli powder fiasco
In APD, Dai is moaning to Jim at length as usual;  Diane, on the phone, tells them to quieten down.
Diane does not feel herself today
Later she tells Jim that she does not feel herself today, then when the phone rings, she does not hear it.
"No! – laminate! – LAMINATE!" shouts Jim
Jim answers, and calls the order over to Diane:  cement, plaster, laminate – which Diane mishears as “cabinet”.
Hywel is not happy with Gaynor's on air performance
Gaynor is interviewed live on air by Jinx, and when he suggests running a restaurant after her culinary success, she is keen on the idea, and would readily leave the field of education.   When she suggests a menu with a new spin on traditional Welsh food, Hywel is rather concerned about this and stops the interview;  later at home he tells her she is being very irresponsible, talking live on air about changing her job, but she dismisses his comments,
Gaynor is very dismissive of Hywel's concerns
“Life’s too short to waste in an office!”
In the Deri Colin tells Mark that their act has been chosen to replace Trefor and Jeff, who have pulled out because Trefor was sleeping with Jeff’s wife.   Mark says he has been studying Morecambe and Wise videos, and sees himself as Ernie Wise, the straight, intelligent one.
"I'm too busy working to be bored," says Garry
Gemma strolls across to the garage and tells Garry she is bored, but he replies he is too busy to be bored.   “You’ll have to behave yourself from now on,” she tells him, “But a bit of flirting never hurt anyone.   You’ve had a hard life – like me, but you deserve some attention.”
So that is what the lipstick was for
So saying, she steps forward and kisses him;  he jumps backward in astonishment.
Just as well that inspection pit was covered, or it could have been nasty
“Hey – don’t!” he shouts, “What are you doing?”
Gemma continues, “Dani doesn’t know how lucky she is – but she aborted your child!   Would she do that if she really loved you?”
"You've said too much!"
Garry is stunned;  “I thought you were Dani’s friend!   She’d be heart-broken to hear about this!   You’ve said too much.”   Gemma asks, “Are you going to tell her?” and leaves the garage.
"Just try to be a bit sensitive," – a tall order for Dai
Jim urges Dai to be a bit more sensitive with Diane, as she seems very low, “As if she’s not with us.”   Dai simply dismisses the situation as “women’s problems”, saying, “Diane’s time has come,” and explaining, “Menopause,” when Jim looks puzzled.
Garry goes straight home and reports to Dani what happened in the garage;  “Gemma tried it on with me!   She didn’t want me to say anything, but I had to tell you.”
"This isn't going to come between us, is it?"
Dani remarks that Gemma was saying some strange things this morning, and wants to go and see her, but Garry advises her to wait;  “If she’s a real friend, she’ll come and admit it.   This isn’t going to come between us, is it?”   They hug.

It is no good getting upset now – you should have thought about that before
At Mark’s, Gemma is looking worried, thinking she has really overstepped the mark this time, when Mark and Colin come in and put on a comedy DVD to give them some ideas.   Gemma quietly slips upstairs.
