Cadno insist that the matter is nothing to do with Eileen or Angela
When Cadno visits the shop, Eileen wants to talk to her about not having any more children, but Cadno tells her, “It’s nothing to do with you or Angela!   We know what we’re doing.”   When Jim comes in he says it is their business, and asks if Eileen will cook for Dai and Diane, but she says she has to go to Penrhewl;  he urges her to leave them alone.
Iolo could manage nicely without Colin going on
As Iolo tries to sort out his accounts, Colin shows off his new helmet-mounted camera;  when Iolo says he thought Colin was skint, he is told that it was only £10 on the internet.
Colin encourages Iolo to get out on a bike and get some fresh air, but Iolo’s main concern is to get paid by Dai;  he phones Diane, who thought that Dai had already paid, and tells him to come over.
Diane does not listen to Dai's rantings, but signs the cheque
When Iolo gets there, Diane writes out a cheque, and when Dai comes in, shouting, she puts him in his place;  “I asked Iolo to do it, and I’ll make sure he’s paid.   I suggest you apologise to Iolo!” she orders Dai.   Diane then notices a rash on Iolo’s hand;  he says he probably caught it from the bidet, seeing that Dai used it.
Cadno reports to Eifion her encounter with Eileen, and says, “Angela should not run to Eileen, complaining;  she undermines things and gets Eileen to support her.”   When Eileen arrives soon after, Cadno accuses her of only being there to interfere;  Eileen goes on about the longterm implications, and the fact the situation might change.   She hopes that, as she sold the farm to them, her opinion still counts, but Cadno informs her that this is about the boys and no-one else.   “You’ve had your say — now, out!”
Eifion thinks that Cadno was too harsh on Eileen
Eifion rebukes her for her unceremonial ejection of Eileen.
A wallop with a hammer works wonders, the mixer springs into life
At APD, Jim persuades a cement mixer to work with a hammer, then confides to Dai, that he is getting fed up with this cooking dinner every night.   Dai’s answer is that he should make a mess of the cooking, so Eileen will not want him to do it;  Dai is also looking forward to juicy steaks for dinner when he goes to Jim and Eileen’s.
Jim is working on the dinner, before Eileen decides to teach Dai a lesson
When Jim gets home, Eileen tells him she never thought she would be thrown out of Penrhewl.   As Jim is working on his beef in red wine sauce with onions and garlic, he tells Eileen what Dai suggested;  “If that’s what Dai thinks, we’ll give him badly cooked food!” she says, turning up the oven.
In the Deri, Colin is going on about cycling, then Jim and Eileen arrive and Eifion apologises for Cadno’s outburst;  Eileen tells him that he does not have to have the vasectomy if he does not want to.   Jim tells Eifion that the first thing to do afterwards is to check the crown jewels;  “If the surgeon forgot his glasses, they’ll be off!”
Iolo's hand has become infected with something
As Colin is about to embark on his cycle ride, he notices the rash on Iolo’s hand which is becoming more inflamed;
Colin rounds the corner, past Gwen and Anwen outside the Deri
Then he leaves, complete with camera, cycles round the corner, past Gwen and Anwen, greets Gwynfor, prepares to pass a parked car — and comes to a very abrupt stop as Dai opens the driver’s door right in front of him.
The aftermath of Colin's unfortunate prang
Dai is dismayed that he dropped the £20 bottle of wine he was taking to dinner, and shouts all manner of insults at Colin, including threatening to knock him off his bike into a hedge.
"Can't you keep it out the back," asks Iolo
Colin then takes the bike inside their house, where Iolo objects to its presence in the livingroom.
Eifion assures Bobi and Arthur they will always come first
Eifion is holding both the boys and singing to them;  Cadno is depressed, angry that Angela and Eileen are determined to shatter their agreement.   Eifion tells Bobi and Arthur that they will always come first.
"Oh dear, the food is burnt!   How could that have happened?"
Dai and Diane are served with unripe avocados for starters, and when Jim opens the oven door, it is evident that the food is burnt.   “How could that happen,” asks Eileen, and Jim replies, “I wanted to make sure it was cooked through!”   Dai is very unimpressed when offered a packet curry instead, but Jim says it was his idea to cook the food badly;  Dai stalks off to the Deri to get himself a steak.
As soon as he and Diane have gone, Jim and Eileen dissolve into peals of laughter, then Jim says he will cook something else for them.   “No,” says Eileen, “We’ll share the cooking;  that’s what marriage is all about – keeping everything equal.”
