Eifion waits for Cadno to leave, so he can get to work on the farm
Eifion hobbles in as Cadno is packing her bag;  she tells him the boys are with Elinor, and the stock is fed, then the taxi arrives to take her for the operation.   As soon as she has gone, Eifion puts on his overalls and goes out into the farmyard.
Jinx finds the television remote in the fridge, and suspects Taid’s mental state.
Arwen does not look very ill, despite Ffion diagnosing a "bug"
Ffion says that Arwen has a bug, so cannot go to Elinor’s, and Jinx is going to be busy, but he is very reluctant to leave her with Taid, who says he can take her out in the fresh air.

Jinx indicates that Taid may be suffering from dementia
Jinx tells him that he suspects he has a touch of dementia:  Taid reacts badly, “I’m not going gaga!   It was a mistake, coming here – you’ll soon be putting me in a home.   I hate do-gooders like you!”
Jinx is angry at Taid's deception
He then reveals that the tax disc gave him the idea of pretending to be getting senile, and Jinx is very angry about his behaviour.
Ffion and Arwen waiting for Taid come come back inside
When Ffion comes in later, he tells her of this, and she replies that he is just lonely, but Jinx will not relent, until Taid is on the point of leaving, when both of them ask him to come back inside Cysgod y Glyn (Shadow of the Glen).
Anita complains vehemently about Sheryl's behaviour
Diane visits Anita, who is still furious;  “How could Sheryl do that to Meic?   He needed Wil, now that Kevin is in prison, but she never gives any thought to anyone else!”
Dai concocts a tale about the hooligan in the Deri
Ed goes to APD, looking for Jim, but Dai lies that he is off sick, after “some hooligan” thumped him, and implies that unless Ed makes it worth his while, for instance free meals and drinks, he will publicise the violence that occurs in the Deri.
Ed does not want to lose his chef, but wants him to live elsewhere
Ed is very conciliatory towards DJ, wanting him to continue as chef, but is clear that he should live elsewhere.   As compensation for Sioned spiking his drinks, Ed gives him £100, but points out that DJ did “milk” the situation.   DJ’s response is, “I don’t want to be under the same roof as her!”
Dai, found to have been lying, does not get his free meal
Dai and Diane come in, as they could not refuse a free meal, but Ed says Dai will be getting no freebies, as he forgot to mention that he gave Jim a day off to go to the races.   As DJ carries his bag from the Deri, Diane says he could stay with them, but Dai insists, “No way, José!”
Sioned, surprised to hear that she will be funding DJ's compensation
Seeing DJ leaving, Sioned thanks Ed for considering her feelings, but is somewhat deflated when he tells her he will be taking the £100 compensation for DJ from her wages.
Angela is surprised at Eifion's level of mobility, after the vasectomy
After leaving a message for Eifion, which he does not hear as he is outside, Angela arrives at Penrhewl to find him jumping off a gate and about to set off with the wheelbarrow.   He is then forced to admit he changed his mind;  Angela is aghast that Cadno has gone to be sterilised, but by then it is too late.   She is adamant that they will tell Cadno the truth when she returns.
Eifion tries to convince Angela that his non-vasectomy should be secret
Eifion thinks up many reasons why Cadno should be kept in the dark;  “I didn’t intend to deceive anyone,” he says, unconvincingly, but Angela’s response is, “Well, you did, and you might do the same to me!”
In the café, Anita enjoys being chatted up by DJ again
DJ gets as far as the café, where he suggests Anita could give him accommodation for a few nights, and she is confident that she can persuade Meic.   Shortly afterwards, Diane is surprised to find him there.
Cadno comes back to the farm, in some pain, and Eifion wants to give her some peace, but Angela insists they have something to tell her, now, “Don’t we, Eifion?”

Much to Angela's disgust, Eifion chickens out
He flounders around, and comes up with the idea that he and Angela want to take the boys away for a few days.   She is incredulous that he has chickened out of telling the truth, and as he encourages her, “Weren’t you in a hurry to see Courtney?” she picks up her coat and storms out.
