22 May 2014

In the morning, Cadno shouts upstairs to Eifion, but of course he is not there;  she rushes round to Angela’s and accuses her of getting him drunk, so he would miss the appointment.   “You selfish cow!   You can’t bear that his children mean more to him that you!”   Eifion insists that Cadno apologise, or he will not go.
Eileen and Kim find the café is closed for a private breakfast
The café is closed to the general public, while the family have a farewell breakfast;  Darren pleads with Sheryl to look after Wil, to give him space and let him make his own mistakes.
Darren is in tears about Wil's future
He breaks down in tears and retires to the kitchen, where Sheryl assures him she will take good care of him;  then Anita interferes, “He’ll be fine with Sheryl – and me – looking after him!”   Sheryl leaves, giving the excuse of going to work, but in fact goes home.
DJ, on his way back to the mystery woman in his room
Sioned is complaining as usual about DJ, who kept them awake until four, with some woman in his room.   She again insists that Ed must get rid of him, and just at that moment DJ comes in, naked except for a towel, to collect something, and a woman’s voice is heard in the background, “Come on, DJ!”
Sheryl is buying a airline ticket to Toronto
Sheryl is on her laptop, looking at flights to Toronto when Wil comes to collect Alys’s teddy;  he is concerned that something is the matter, and Sheryl tells him she is buying a ticket so he can go back to Canada with his family.   “I’m doing this because I love you, and must not force you to stay here.”   After a cwtch, she tells him to go and pack, then purchases the online ticket.
Cadno and Eifion arrive at the “Beca Private Clinic”, and after a while in the waiting room, Eifion’s name is called.
Eifion explains his plan to Dr Reynolds
As soon as the door is shut, he tells Dr Reynolds that he has changed his mind;  he has paid for half an hour of the doctor’s time, so he will just sit there while the doctor does some paperwork, and reminds him he is covered by patient confidentiality.
Sioned snaps, "You smell like a camel too!"
Later, DJ comes downstairs, “As thirsty as a camel that’s run the Sahara backwards,” and Sioned’s comment is that he smells like one too.   She gets him a caffeine drink and laces it with a generous helping of vodka;  he downs it in one gulp, and Sioned looks rather smug.
The doctor’s door opens and Eifion emerges, pretending to be uncomfortable, and tells Cadno he wants to get home for some rest.
Eifion secreting the ice-pack under a cushion
Once there, Cadno gives him an ice-pack, to help with the swelling, and Angela confirms it is a good idea, but as soon as they are not looking, he extricates it from his trousers and hides it under a cushion.   Angela goads Cadno:  “You got what you wanted – I’ll look after him now.”
As the luggage is being loaded into the Deri Deithio taxi, Anita hugs little Alys, then Sheryl comes striding across the road with Wil.
Sheryl brings Wil's case and his airline ticket
“Is there room for one more case in the boot?” she asks, and produces Wil’s plane ticket.   Anita is upset, but gets no support from Meic;  Wil urges her not to be angry, and thanks his mother.   “I love you,” he says.
Katie has assured Sheryl that she will look after Wil
Katie assures Sheryl that she will do her very best for Wil, saying, “He’s a lovely lad.”
Meic fusses that they should get going, as traffic on the M4 the other side of the bridge is always bad, and with Darren driving, they set off.
Anita, just about to start on Sheryl, as the taxi leaves
Hardly before the taxi is out of sight, Anita starts on Sheryl, “The least you could have done was discuss it with me first!   I know – you’ve had your turn – it’s someone else’s turn now!”   Sheryl walks away toward her front door, telling Anita, “Living without Wil frightens me, but I know one thing – I don’t want to become a bitter old woman.”
Anita announces to the audience that the show is over
As Sheryl’s door closes, Anita addresses the villagers who have watched this altercation, “You can go home, it’s all over now!”
DJ, detecting whether this plate actually contains risotto, as ordered
Having consumed four of the supposed “energy drinks” suitably doctored by Sioned, DJ’s work is suffering;  he brings omelettes for people who have not ordered them, and when Eileen and Jim complain about his behaviour, he picks a fight with Jim, calling him, “Big boy!”
"I told you, he's nothing but trouble!" as Ed bundles DJ upstairs
When DJ punches Jim, Ed orders him upstairs, and Sioned smugly remarks, “I told you, he’s nothing but trouble.”
Sheryl follows the progress of Wil's plane
Sheryl sits on her sofa, with a glass of wine, following the progress of the flight across the Atlantic.
