Gemma is convinced she is a failure
Dani finds Gemma depressed in her business unit and tells her she needs more confidence, but Gemma insists that she be left alone.   Dani reports to Ed in the Deri that she is worried about Gemma, who is upset she did not get her major contract, so he calls her over for a chat.
Sheryl is offered an evening job as a tutor
Just as Gethin brings Wil’s new bike back to Sheryl, as he is playing computer games with Ricky, she has a phone call from Coleg y Mynach, offering her a job as a tutor two nights a week.   Gethin says it would do her good.
Ffion makes it clear that Gaynor's cycling secret is out
In the shop, Colin tells Ffion about Gaynor’s secret, so that when Gaynor comes in, Ffion asks her if she is looking forward to the charity cycle ride next week.   “Thanks Colin, thanks a bunch,” she says as she marches out.
Gwen gives Ffion sandwiches for Jinx for while she is at a meeting
Then Ffion calls at the cafĂ© for some sandwiches for Jinx;  Sheryl comes in and tells her of the job offer, which Darren overhears as he is sitting nearby.   Ffion recommended her and thinks Sheryl will make a great tutor.
The rather unsavoury condition of the wall behind the fridge
Gethin and Colin are summoned back to the house, where Iolo has been spring-cleaning and has pulled out the fridge, revealing black mould on the wall behind it.   Colin is confident that a mould spray from APD will sort it out.   Iolo is talking in terms of hacking off the plaster, but then the wall will still be damp.     If he gets black mould spores in his lungs as well as his ringworm, the business will suffer.
Iolo pay for them to eat at the pub, not in his clean kitchen
In the end, he gets to work with the spray, and later the mould has been eradicated, but he will not let Gethin use the kitchen after he has spent so long scrubbing it.
Iolo wants something done about the damp problem in the house
They head off to the Deri, and Iolo phones Ieuan Griffiths the landlord, reporting (in English) that work needs doing on his house.
When Gemma gets to the Deri, she suspects that, “Dani has opened her big mouth again!”   Ed says that that Dani is worried about her, but she responds, “It’s because of her I lost the contract.   She criticised my appearance, and I didn’t have enough time to change.   And she suggested I settled for Mark because I can’t get anyone else!”
Ed advises Gemma to go and talk honestly with Dani
Ed replies that Dani is tactless, but not malicious;  Gemma must talk to her and say how she feels.   So she goes downstairs, where Dani asks her advice about going on holiday with Garry.   Gemma says she always feels that Dani is “putting her down”, and making her feel a loser with Mark.
Dani is horrified that she has given this impression
Dani is horrified, and never meant to give that impression, as Gemma and Mark are her best friends.   She must remember in future to think before opening her mouth.
Gaynor is having her first cycling lesson from Hywel, which is not going well, with the pair of them shouting insults at each other.
Gaynor manages a few yards before giving up completely
At one point she manages to travel a few yards before falling off, then she throws the helmet at him, shouts, “I don’t want to ride a bike!   Get stuffed, Hywel, and stuff your bike!”
Hywel wheels the bike until he finds her, then tells her, “If inability to ride a bike is your greatest concern, you’re not doing too badly.”   After an embrace, they agree to give it another try.
Darren is in favour of Sheryl doing this evening job
Darren goes to see Sheryl, and contrary to her expectations, says that it is a great idea to get this tutoring job;  it is for four hours, two evenings a week, but Darren is sure that Anita and Meic will spoil Wil while she is out.   He encourages her to get out of her comfort zone, “You can’t keep Wil to yourself for ever.   You’re fussing over him too much – you’ll still be mothering him when he’s 50!   You’re suffocating him!”
Sheryl tells Wil, "I want you home now!"
Sheryl has had enough, and throws him out of the house;  then she phones Wil, telling him, “I want you home – it’s dinner time.   Now, Wil!”
