9 August 2014 (2nd)

Jim, now in a good mood, walks past the top of the alley, glances down it, and sees . . . a tatty green bin!   “They’ve done it again!” he yells, and Ffion asks, “Done what?”
Jims storms off, leaving Ffion, Gwen and Madge looking
Jim, sounding almost in tears, shouts, “Stolen my bin!” and hurries back into the shop, while Gwen and Madge watch from across the street.
"Is Eifion coming over?"
Angela is making bread for the first time, when Courtney asks her if Eifion will be coming over, and is told, “It’s just you and me.”   Angela puts the kneaded dough into a tin and immediately into the oven.
At last Dai is getting his van back
Dai is again on the phone to Garry and hears his van is now ready, but Garry will not give him compensation for the length of time it has taken.
Diane does not know what she can do about this bin business
Jim bursts in, demanding that Diane, as a councillor, should do something about the theft of his bin.   Dai remarks he should look after his bins better.
Eifion has spent the night at the farm, and Cadno tells him there is always a bed for him, plus work and two little boys who want to see their dad.
Cadno has no chance of getting the requisite money
She has been to the bank, and there is no chance of getting enough money to buy him out.   She advises him to come back to the farm until she can raise the money;  he has moved too fast and is stifling Angela.
Hywel fancies this 7-day break in Tuscany
When Gaynor arrives home with shopping, Hywel is looking on his laptop at a holiday in Tuscany, for only £200 each, but the offer ends today.
Ignoring Gaynor's objections, he clicks "BOOK NOW"
Gaynor says she needs to get things sorted out at school before she starts back in September, and refuses to go;  when her back is turned he clicks on the “BOOK NOW” button, regardless.
The truth dawns on Diane
As Diane arrives at Bryntirion, she sees a shiny new bin in the garden, and realises what has happened;  a few minutes later she hears the van outside.
"Thief!   Bin thief!"
When Dai walks in, she accuses him, “Thief!   Bin thief!   Spare room!”   Dai’s argument is that Bryntirion needs a new bin more than Jim does, and when she orders him to take it back, he refuses.   “I feel strongly about this – lecture me as much as you like, that bin is staying here!”
Angela is under too much pressure (and that loaf is still cooking)
Eifion goes to Angela’s to apologise;  “For what – coming to live here without asking, or for leading my daughter off the rails?”   He argues he would never do anything to hurt Courtney, but Angela thinks it would be a good idea if he sleeps at Penrhewl, as things are going too fast, there is too much pressure.
“So I make one mistake and you want out?   I’ve listened to enough;  I’m going for a pint!” he says, and walks out.
Hywel asks his ex-wife to persuade his current wife
As Ffion is peeling carrots, Hywel visits and asks her to reason with Gaynor about this holiday, as she will not listen to him.   He warns Ffion that Gaynor will be looking over her shoulder until September otherwise.
Ffion does manage to persuade her
Ffion does go to see Gaynor, who is worried that people will think the school ran better without her, but Ffion manages to persuade her to go on the holiday.
Gaynor packs school documents as "holiday reading"
Gaynor tells Hywel she has one condition – that he gets Dai in to repair the hole in the wall:  she also packs some school paperwork in her case.
Debbie does not consider herself qualified to give advice
Angela wants some advice from Debbie in the café, saying, “Life’s too short to spend it with someone you don’t want to be with,” but Debbie is herself in a confused state.   She says, “Don’t turn your back on him because you’re scared;  you deserve to be happy – give yourself a chance!”
Diane collects Jim from APD, telling him that as his councillor, she is going to do something.
The customers listen to Diane's announcement
They march to the Deri, where Dai is at the bar, and she announces loudly that she is setting up a search party to find Jim’s bin in half an hour;  “Together we will find who is responsible for stealing it!”
Debbie finds Eifion in the Deri and tells him he can either sit there sulking or can try to make things right.
"Find the money, or I'll sell to someone else!"
Then Cadno comes in, and he tells her he does not want to return to Penrhewl;  “Find the money, or I’ll sell to someone else!”
Dai reluctantly puts things right
Dai has taken his disreputable bin home, and loads the new one into the van, under Diane’s supervision.   After the exchange has been completed, Jim is jubilant – “It’s back!   Come and see!”
All of a sudden the original bin reappears
As Dai and Diane witness the miraculous reappearance, Debbie drags another black bin towards them.   “The kids must have had it,” she announces, “It was round the back.”   Jim and Dai then argue over who should take ownership of the replacement, and Diane says the council will have to have it back.
Eifion is more successful this time
Eifion again visits Angela, with flowers, to apologise, and tell her that he will rent a house or stay at the Deri.   He does not want to stay at Penrhewl, but wants to be with her, however long that may take.
Hardly surprising, the length of time it has been in the oven
Then she finds her bread is overcooked (but well-risen), with the customary cloud of smoke when she opens the oven door.
He tells her he is pretty good at breadmaking, to which Angela replies, “Maybe you should move in then, to show me how to do it properly.”
