"Gethin's your date?"
Sheryl is preparing for a “date”, and Dani quizzes her, “Do I know him?   Going somewhere special?   Staying overnight?”   When Gethin arrives and asks Sheryl, “Are you ready?” Dani shouts, “Geth?”   As soon as they have gone, Garry comes in, and Dani says they will have lunch at the Deri.
"Party time at number 7 tonight!"
As they arrive there, and Dani tells Garry not to make trouble with Gwyneth, Colin dashes in, announcing there will be a party at number 7 tonight.   DJ volunteers Gwyneth to go, as he will be working, but she is not keen, and neither is Colin.
Siôn has been researching the symptoms of OCD
Sion has been researching into Iolo’s habits, “or rituals”, and they are caused by extreme anxiety;  something has really worried him, like his belief that he has HIV.   He tells Britt, “If he won’t go to therapy, we shall have to bring it to him here.”
The children are keen to make some cakes
He suggests to the children that they make some cakes, and after they are engaged with that in the kitchen, and knowing that Iolo is sitting at the top of the stairs, he announces loudly to Britt, “It’s almost three o’clock – if he doesn’t come down, we’ll have to call the doctor.”
Iolo immediately starts tidying up
As intended, this brings Iolo down, and he immediately starts tidying up the Connect4 pieces on the table, and will not go and join the children.   He insists that he will sort this problem out himself.
Gethin and Sheryl remember old times
Gethin and Sheryl arrive at a restaurant somewhere, and sit at a table outside, where they reminisce about old times;  Gethin recalls he was shy when at school, and asks, “Do you remember when we went on that road trip to Swansea?”
Garry finds the idea of a mint green wedding dress rather amusing
In the Deri, Dani is telling Garry that she fancies a mint green wedding dress, which he finds strange, but she wants something different.   When Garry reluctantly goes to the bar, Gwyneth offers to buy him a drink to thank him for “giving her another chance”.
"You're not getting another chance!"
Garry however tells her, “You’ve had two chances, and you’re not getting another!   You’re pathetic if you think the people of this village will forgive you – they know what you’re like, and aren’t going to forget!”
Ooh – it could be looking a bit amorous here!
Later, as Sheryl orders icecream with chocolate sauce, she wonders if Gethin is looking forward to the big wedding.   He replies that he finds it odd that his little sister is now all grown up and has met Mr Right.   He is looking forward to walking her up the aisle, although she has not asked him yet.
He tells Sheryl that he has missed their chats, and feels such an idiot after all that has happened the last three years.
And what is this small box?
When the waiter brings the icecream, he also puts a small box in front of Sheryl, saying, “And this as well.”
Sheryl is puzzled;  “What’s that?” she says, and Gethin replies, “You tell me!”
"Geth, what have you done?"
She opens it, only to find a ring inside, and exclaims, “Geth, what have you done?”
"Sorry, there's been a mistake!" he says, and grabs the box
but then the waiter rushes back, grabs the box and says, “Sorry, there’s been a mistake!”   He takes it to the next table, where Sheryl and Gethin watch another girl open it.
Sheryl watches the astonished girl at the next table
“Oh, she’s so happy!” Sheryl smiles, and Gethin wonders, “Will we be that happy one day?”   Sheryl tells him the timing is all wrong, but nobody can predict the future.
"Go on, have a cake," says Catrin
At Siôn’s, the cakes are made, and Catrin offers one to Iolo, but he refuses, simply continuing to tidy up the children’s games.
The party-goers arrive at number 7, and Colin announces, “We’re celebrating getting the house back to ourselves!”   Outside, Gwyneth hesitates, and Garry, who is passing, tells her to go home to avoid making a fool of herself.   Nevertheless she goes in and joins Diane, Gwynfor, Geraint and Mal, who are already there.
The place seems to be swinging
They are soon joined by Anwen and Gwen, and by the time that Gethin and Sheryl arrive Diane is getting well and truly drunk, on gin and vodka.
Gwyneth is amused that Colin is "trying it on" with her
Colin sits by Gwyneth and tells her he does not hold a grudge against her about what happened with his sister, Yvonne;  he then enquires, “Are you still chasing women, or do men stand a chance?   After all, there aren’t many single women in Cwmderi.”
“Are you trying it on with me?” says Gwyneth, feeling rather flattered.
The drunken revels continue at number 7
When DJ arrives, as there are no customers at the Deri – obvious, as they are all here – he gets Gwyneth to join him for a dance.
Iolo is reprimanded for his reaction to Catrin
Siôn admonishes Iolo for his attitude, saying he knows it is difficult, but he must make the effort.   “It is the OCD making you think this way;  you know it doesn’t make sense – you have to break out of this vicious circle or you won’t get better,” preaches Siôn.
"Repeat after me – 'I don't have HIV!'" orders Siôn
“Repeat after me – ‘I don’t have HIV!’”
Iolo refuses, and argues, “I try every day, can’t you see how difficult this is for me?” but Siôn will not relent.   “You have to stop yourself behaving so unreasonably!” he thunders.
"I'll run away and never come back!"
Iolo is in a state of panic;  “You’re the one being unreasonable!   If you want to help, don’t do this!   Don’t force your therapy on me, or I’ll run away and never come back!”
Britt tries to calm him by assuring him, “We won’t force you to do anything,” and he escapes upstairs to his bedroom.
