Gemma removes the lipstick she has just put on
Gemma puts on lipstick, then thinks twice and wipes it off again;  Mark has to rehearse with Colin for their gig at the Deri, and tells her she can please herself whether she comes to the gig.
"This is not going to make everything all right!"
She announces that she is getting rid of the makeup, as it makes her look like someone else, but Mark reminds her that is not going to make everything all right.
Gemma suggests she could cook couscous with roasted vegetables for Mark, and says, “I really am sorry – how can I prove it?”
"Stop snogging other men!"
“Stop snogging other men would be a start,”Mark grumbles, “I can’t forget it just like that, and I’m fed up with hearing ‘sorry’!”
"Who or what is getting on your nerves?"
Jinx welcomes listeners to his three-hour show, and invites them to air their complaints;  “Who or what is getting on your nerves?   Your husband, working on Bank Holiday or anything else.”
Gwyneth has a bright idea about Cocktail Evenings
In the Deri, DJ is listening, and Gwyneth has an idea for a Cocktail Evening on Friday.
Suddenly, Sioned arrives, and Gwyneth exclaims, “What are you doing here?”
"I want tea and cake, upstairs!"
Sioned reminds her that she lives there, and orders tea and cake, upstairs, as she takes the business’s books to peruse.
Ffion and Gwen listen to the radio phone-in
On the radio, someone is complaining about the poor results at the school, and Ffion hears it in the café, as she asks Gwen for a coffee.   “I’m going to kill him!” she tells Gwen, and takes her coffee outside, where she sees Hywel and demands he give her a slot on CwmFM tomorrow, so that she can refute the accusations.
Ffion pressurises Hywel into another interview
Hywel argues that he does not want to stress Gaynor, but Ffion warns him, “Imagine her first day back if we don’t sort this out.”
"You have no idea about profit!"
Gwyneth is looking at a website;  “If we use their vodka, they’ll sponsor our evenings for the first month,” she announces.   Sioned reappears and tells them she does not pay them to talk;  when Gwyneth shows her idea, asserting that there is a lot of profit in cocktails, Sioned says she has no idea about profit.   “You said you could run a pub and you failed – I want you out!   Half our stock is gone – I’ll go through the books and you’ll pay for what’s missing!”
"Stuff your job!" Gwyneth tells Sioned
Gwyneth comments, “I’d forgotten how selfish you are.   Stuff your job!”   Sioned turns to DJ;  “Don’t look at me like that – you’ve got cooking to do!”
At the gig rehearsal, Mark tells Colin about Gemma’s exploits, and says, “Of course she’s broken my heart, but I don’t want her to leave!”
Colin thinks Mark should finish with Gemma
Colin cannot understand this and asks, “What’s stopping her doing it again?”
Colin orders a large takeaway lasagne from Gwen
Then Colin orders a takeaway lasagne in the café, where Gwyneth tells him that Sioned has sacked her;
"I should have known my luck wouldn't last," says jobhunting Gwyneth
Colin suggests they should start a protest, but Gwyneth admits, “I should have known my luck wouldn’t last.”
"I won't be needing you again," Sioned informs DJ
When DJ has finished all his kitchen duties, Sioned informs him, “You can go now, I won’t be needing you again.”   When Hywel comes in for a drink, he asks, “Have the prices gone up?   That’s not what Gwyneth charged me.”
"Keep your nose out of other people's business!"
When Jinx gets home, Ffion is furious with him;  “When will you learn to keep your nose out of other people’s business?”   Jinx replies that it is his business if listeners want to talk about it.   She accuses him of “stepping on my toes” and reveals that she will be on air tomorrow interviewed by Hywel, as a damage limitation exercise.   “Oh, so you’re not stepping on my toes, then?” he says.
"It's your fault I'm in this situation!" Ffion rages
Ffion continues, “It’s your fault I’m in this situation – you’re making supper!”
Gwyneth is sitting dejectedly on the stairs when DJ arrives and tells her they can look for jobs together, as he has also been sacked.
"We can drown our sorrows"
He produces some cans;  “We can drown our sorrows and criticise Sioned!” he says.
In the Deri Colin asks Hywel if it is right that Cwmderi are playing a team of “celebs”;  Hywel replies that they are not, whatever Dai may say.   When Mark and Gemma come in, Mark orders three pints, and finds they cost a lot more than the last time.
Colin has a word with Sioned about sacking Gwyneth;  “You’ve got your pint – what does it matter who serves it?” is Sioned’s terse reply.
Colin tries, unsuccessfully, to remonstrate with Sioned
Colin says, “We had got used to a friendly face, someone who takes an interest.”
“If she’s your friend,” Sioned tells him, “Then give her this – it’s a bill, and I want the money by Friday!”   Hywel requests a menu, but is disappointed when told that the Deri does not serve food any more.

What is going through Gemma's twisted little mind?
As Mark, Colin and Hywel get involved in a game of darts, Gemma is left sitting alone, and wonders what to do.
