DJ definitely drank too much last night
DJ wakes up with a hangover, and Gwyneth is aghast to find there is hardly any money in the till;  the tab, the record of what the French students drank, on the darts score-board, has been rubbed out.
Gwyneth rouses the French students;  "Petit Dejeuner?" she asks
Gwyneth goes upstairs to wake them and tell them that traditional breakfast will be £8 per head.
DJ is in no fit state to cook all these breakfasts
DJ says he cannot face cooking all those breakfasts, but Gwyneth orders him, “Get cooking!”
Meic is off home, after last night
As Meic puts on his jacket in the café flat, Debbie, in her dressing gown, comes in;  he advises her not to tell anyone about last night and goes home.   He is questioned by Anita when he arrives there;  she thinks he is joking when he tells her he has spent the night with Debbie.
"Do you realise what a dangerous situation you're in?"
When he comes down after changing his shirt, she asks, “Do you realise what a dangerous situation you’re in?   Debbie and Kevin are still married.   Your own daughter-in-law?   I won’t tell anyone – I’m too ashamed – but carefully consider the consequences!”
Preparations for jam-making at Penrhewl
Eileen and Marian have collected together a large number of jars in preparation for jam-making.   Eileen is writing labels for the jars, and Marian does not think there is an “H” in the Welsh version of Rhubarb.   (Actually there is – rhiwbob”.)
Cadno is exhausted, and tells Eileen that she has to find the money from somewhere;  she emphasises that the farm is a good investment.
Cadno seems to have failed in her efforts to raise the money
She reveals that the farm, complete with stock and equipment has been valued at over £¾ million, and says that Eileen is the only person she knows with a substantial amount of money.   Eileen refuses, saying that the money is for her, Jim and Courtney.
Cadno puts pressure on Eileen
Cadno then tries to use Marian as a bargaining tool, saying she would be heartbroken if she had to leave Penrhewl.   Cadno despairs that she cannot keep on running the farm as well as caring for the boys, and comments that she is in this pickle, “Because of your two daughters.”
At APD, Dai has had a phone call confirming that his “world-famous” rugby player is arriving tomorrow.
Jim is sceptical about Dai's "star player"
He again assures Jim that this mystery person is a great player, and Cwmderi is a great little club.   He says he is unable to reveal the name yet, and then invites Jim to invest in APD by selling his empty house at Maes y Deri.   Jim says he has a tenant there, who has offered to buy the place.
Dai drags DJ round to CwmFM, where he is to be interviewed by Anita (presumably breakfast is over at the Deri).   Dai announces on air that the squad is competent, but the new signing, a Springbok, will make them much better.
While Dai rants, DJ looks exceedingly unenthusiastic
DJ argues against him, referring to a “journeyman” who cannot speak Welsh, and Dai bursts out, “Rudi is not a journeyman!” then realises the cat is out of the bag.
"Well, I might as well tell you his name now"
The full name is Rudi Edgar van der Merwe;  DJ comments that he was a decent player – ten years ago!
Anita asks the listeners for their opinions, while Dai and DJ retire to the Deri, with Dai accusing him of “putting the kibosh” on his PR attempt.
Jim becomes very heated about this rugby player
Jim has plenty to say;  “A bloke no-one has ever heard of, who can’t speak Welsh, and from a different background!   This could split the club – you’re on dangerous ground!”   Dai continues to assert that, “Cwmderi is on the up, and will reach heights no other small club has reached.”
When he calms down, he has some news for Dai about Penrhewl
Then Jim has a word with Dai, reminding him of that piece of land he wanted to buy at Penrhewl, and advising, “The situation is different now.”
Meic has the day off from the café, but drops in to see if he can also have tomorrow off, so he can go fishing.
"He'd never normally look twice at someone like you!"
As soon as he leaves, Anita arrives there to give Debbie a piece of her mind;  “Meic has problems – You!   You’ll take advantage of him – soft heart, money in the bank.   He’s your father-in-law, you should be ashamed!   I don’t know how you got him to stay – he’d never normally look twice at someone like you!   I won’t let you hurt him, and the sooner he realises, the better!”
Debbie listens silently to this diatribe;  as Anita leaves, she orders Debbie to, “Stop this nonsense!”
"You'll be a tragic figure!"
When she gets home, Meic tells her it is none of her business, but Anita is certain that Debbie is taking advantage of him.   She warns him, “When this gets out, you won’t just be a figure of fun, but a tragic figure!”
