Gwyneth publicises her "Happy Hour" (which apparently lasts 3 hours)
Gwyneth’s first idea while running the Deri is a “Happy Hour” with half-price drinks, advertised on a poster.
Britt wants to get Siôn away from Gwyneth as soon as possible
When Siôn passes he speaks to her, but is soon reprimanded by Britt:  “Stop gossiping, Siôn!” and adding, as soon as Gwyneth has gone, “What do they say about the lunatics taking over the asylum?   Would you trust her to look after your business?”
DJ casts doubt on Gwyneth's capability of running a pub
Inside, DJ says he told Sioned not to buy old beer;  if they do not manage to sell it soon, it will go off.   He tells Gwyneth it does not look as if she knows what she is doing;  she replies, “You’re in charge of the kitchen!”
Courtney wants a pet, like her friend at school has
Courtney is advising Eifion on playing video games, and when she tells her mother she is bored and wishes she had a dog or cat, Eifion tells her that Fflam at the farm has had three cute puppies.
Angela wants him to do something constructive
Later, when he is still playing, Angela tells him he needs something to do with his time, now he has left Penrhewl.   He simpers that she is the most important thing to him now.   She assures him she is not trying to throw him out, but there is vacuuming and washing to be done.
It looks as if Iolo is "in the red"
Iolo looks at a bank statement, containing a lot of red figures, together with a letter asking him to see the bank manager.   Gethin brings downstairs some mats that need washing, but Iolo refuses to put them with his clothes in the machine.   Gethin sees the letter and picks it up, with his dirty hands from the garage, much to Iolo’s disgust.
Debbie has asked Siôn to say a few words when the raffle is drawn in the café.
Siôn addresses the multitude in the café
He says that they are remembering the Great War and the soldiers that died, a whole generation of young people, who left behind a great loss in many families.
Then Ricky picks the winning ticket, 108, and to his embarrassment, Meic finds he is the winner.
Gwen will take the hamper to the Old People's Home
He announces that he will donate the £30 food hamper to Maes Glas Home for the Elderly, and Gwen will take it there this afternoon.
Iolo is locked out of his house, and panics
Iolo apprehensively goes out of his front door to post a letter to Banc Dyfed;  he looks nervously around, and the door slams behind him.
Fortunately, nurse Angela is at hand to assist
He turns and hammers on the door;  Angela, who is passing, recognises the signs of a panic attack, and gets him to breathe deeply.
When she mentions the surgery, he becomes agitated
She takes him to her house, sits him down and explains what is happening;  she is about to ring the surgery, but he flatly refuses, and will not let her phone Siôn either.
Angela tells him that a friend had such attacks, which were traced back to a traumatic experience, and she had cognitive therapy on the NHS.
"I want to get back in my house!"
Iolo jumps up and says, “I don’t want psychoanalysis, I want to get back in my house;  Colin has a key I can use,” and he leaves.
At the Deri, Gethin reports that a French minibus has broken down, and the garage cannot get it back on the road until the morning, so they will have some customers.
The arrival of the French students
They all file in, and order wine, at half-price;  Gwyn asks Gethin where they are staying, and concludes that as they have sleeping bags, she can accommodate them on the sofa, in the livingroom, on the floor, thinking of the money there is to be made.
DJ tries to moderate Gwyneth's money-making plans
DJ asks, “What would Sioned say?”
As Gethin is in no hurry to return home to “Little Miss Sunshine” otherwise known as Iolo, he suggests a “Lock-in” at the pub;  Eifion is all in favour of this and Gwyneth gets out more bottles of wine.
At the chippy, Angela asks Britt about Iolo, but Britt will not tell her anything.
Angela is happy until she hears that Eifion is going boozing
Then Eifion and Siôn come in;  Angela is not happy when Eifion orders some chips and Siôn reveals the Deri is having a “Lock-in”, as she was planning to have pasta for dinner.   “You do what you like!” she angrily tells Eifion.
The surgery will not talk to Britt
When they have left, Britt phones the surgery about Iolo, but they will not discuss him with her.
Meic and Debbie count the proceeds of the raffle;  over £250 has been raised.   Then they settle down for a rest on the sofa, and Debbie suggests they watch Poltergeist at ten o’clock, “It will be nice, watching it together,” she says.
"Stay the night with me," she says, unexpectedly
They kiss, then she invites him to stay there;  “It will save you going home.   Stay the night with me.”
Meic looks somewhat confused.
