Gemma is concerned about Andrew
Gemma leaves a message for her father, “Dad, please answer me – I want to know you’re OK.   Is it something I’ve done?”   Then she texts someone, “Enjoyed meeting you last night.   Want to meet again?”   When Mark comes in, he tells her to see if Sioned has heard anything from Andrew.
Eifion wants to spend all his time with Angela
Eifion is telling Angela in the café that he wants to spend every minute with her;  she forces herself to smile.   Gwyneth comes in to leave some of her flyers with Gwen behind the counter, but Eifion totally ignores her.
"Everyone I'm close to leaves me!"
Gemma arrives at the Deri as Sioned is working out which dress to wear for this important gig.   “Why did he leave in such a hurry?   Everyone I’m close to leaves me;  it’s a matter of time before Mark does, so maybe I should leave him first.”   Sioned replies, “He’ll only leave you if you cheated on him!” and asks if Gemma will help out behind the bar as they will be busy tonight, and she will be struggling.
Dai abuses Garry on the phone
At APD, Dai is becoming very heated on the phone to Garry, telling him if he cannot repair the van, he should supply a courtesy vehicle, and calls him “an amateur”, at which Garry puts the phone down.
Dai looks covetously at the new bin
Jim is full of praise for the new black bin the council have delivered, and takes Dai to look at it, in the alley at the back of the shop;  Dai appears envious.
"The best bin this side of Carmarthen!"
“The best bin this side of Carmarthen,” boasts Jim.
Sioned is panicking, “There’s bunting to go up, the mike doesn’t work, the beer hasn’t arrived and Gemma should be here!” she wails to DJ, “Who is going to work behind the bar with me?”
Just in the nick of time, a potential barmaid appears
At that moment Gwyneth walks in with her flyers, and announces she has bar experience, so Sioned takes her on for the evening.
DJ questions employing an “ex-con” behind the bar, saying that Gwyneth is no different to Kevin, and she sacked him.
Mark has managed to scorch his white shirt with the iron, so rummages in the laundry basket for another one.
Gemma is arranging a date
Meanwhile Gemma has been texting, “Seven o’clock outside the bus station?”
Mark has a hole in his shirt
Then she points out that the black shirt has a hole in the back.
Gwynfor refuses to be served by Gwyneth
Gwyneth offers to serve Gwynfor at the Deri, but he replies, “I’ll wait for Sioned.”   When Colin and Mark arrive, expecting a pub pull of Eisteddfod-goers, they are disappointed, as is Sioned, who was expecting lots of paying customers.   Angela remarks that all the crowds are on the Maes in Llanelli.   Mark pointedly asks, “What’s she doing behind the bar?” and Sioned none too politely points out she was let down by his girlfriend.
"Why don't you and Gwyneth run the place?"
DJ tells Sioned he did try to warn her;  she gets uppity and says, “You obviously understand things much better than I do – so why don’t you and Gwyneth run the place?”
Eifion smirking in the background
Eifion, in the background, comments, “Whoops!”
At APD, Jim tells Dai that he and Eileen are going to see the Three Tenors, and Dai remarks that that is better than the “Two Stooges” at the Deri;  he says he is going to watch Llanelli rugby team training.
Ricky tosses a coin — "You!" he tells Courtney
At the Deri, Ricky and Courtney want a bit more excitement;  Ricky tosses a coin, and announces, “You!” to her.   She walks over to Eifion and asks him to get alcopops for the two of them, which he actually does.
Has Sioned's message actually made Gemma think?
Gemma find a message from Sioned on her phone;  “To think you went on about people letting you down, and you do the same.   You’re like your father – promises mean nothing!   By the way, Colin and Mark are rubbish!”
What a thoroughly disreputable bin!
Dai looks at the decrepit old green bin in his back garden, with only one wheel and a broken lid.

A suspicious character pushes a scruffy, green one-wheeled bin . . .
Then he is seen wheeling it, on its one remaining wheel, along the back lane to where Jim’s shiny new one is parked.
. . . and prepares to spirit away the nice shiny black one
He puts foam rubber covers on the new bin’s wheels and silently takes it away.
Courtney getting stuck into the alcopops
The disastrous gig finishes, and Angela notices Courtney boozing in the corner.
Gwyneth accused of selling alcohol to children
She takes the bottle and confronts Gwyneth;  “Selling alcohol to underage children?”   Sioned hastily tells Gwyneth to get out, but when Ricky lets on that Eifion bought them, so Sioned has to apologise.
Gwyneth bears no ill-feeling towards Sioned
Mark admonishes Ricky, “You don’t ask someone for a favour and land them in trouble!”   Only then does Gemma put in an appearance, apologising to Sioned, who is in no mood to forgive her.
Eifion tells Angela, “I didn’t think one would hurt them,” but she is furious, and tells him in no uncertain tones, “Don’t bother coming back tonight!”

Sioned is not yet convinced she needs time off to relax
As they clear up the pub, Gwyneth tries to convince Sioned she needs some time off to relax, and she and DJ could run the place;  she has a few ideas to drum up some more trade.   Sioned is not keen on the idea.
Dai, sitting uncomfortably on the rubber wheel-covers
Dai has just returned home when Diane comes in, and he has to hide the wheel-covers by sitting on them.   When she goes to put her feet up on the sofa, he smuggles the evidence outside.
