Bobi playing while Cadno works
Cadno is working while Bobi plays;  Eifion tells Bobi that they will have a great day together, then Angela and Courtney arrive.
Eifion's purchase of a £800 saddle makes Cadno furious
When Cadno sees Eifion unload a saddle from Angela’s car, she is furious, as they are terrifically expensive.
The latest expenses on Eifion's and Cadno's account
Courtney is keen to ride on the horse, and Eifion tries to ignore Cadno, so she goes inside and looks up their bank account on the laptop, finding that the saddle cost £800;  Eifion maintains that a new one would cost twice that, and they have to have the right stuff.
Cadno says that the future of Penrhewl is in the balance, and here he is spending all this money on a saddle, hat and boots, “Just so that your girlfriend can play clippety-clop!”   Angela objects, “Why do you always have to be so negative?   It’s not easy for me either, a single mother with a job, raising a child.”
Cadno replies, “So you deal with that by stealing someone else’s family and money!   Perhaps I should follow your example.”
Unwelcome customers in the café
As Meic is preparing the café table just by the window for the evening guests, Dai and DJ come in, demanding a fry-up, which Debbie agrees to provide.   Later, Meic tells Debbie to get changed, and tries to hurry the two customers;   Dai complains that there is “posh nosh” for the tourists, but any old rubbish for the loyal customers.   DJ says at least the produce comes from a “local” cash and carry.
"This is not what you're supposed to be wearing," says Meic
When Meic manages to get rid of the pair, he finds that Debbie is wearing a woollen shawl, made at Llanarthur Mill, instead of what had been planned, and tells her to change, while he lets the guests in.
Siôn monitoring the language situation
Britt comes home to find two of Chester’s friends, Jac and Dafydd, there;  Siôn tells her he has invited them to spend the night, so he can “monitor” Chester’s use of the dreaded English language.   When the three boys go upstairs, Britt asks, “Are the language police going to be listening outside the door?”
Noticing the visitors in the village, Megan goes to ask Siôn that if they attend Bethania on Sunday, could he welcome them in English, and perhaps intersperse some English in the sermon.
Siôn points out that Bethania is not a bilingual chapel
Siôn is quick to point out that Bethania is a Welsh chapel, not a bilingual one, but Megan seems to think he agrees with her.
Meic is serving the café guests
The four guests at the café are being served by Meic, when there is a banging at the door;  Dai and DJ are back to make trouble.   They comment that this is like St Fagan’s Natural History Museum, and break into song –“We’ll keep a welcome in the hillside!”
The hosts of the Tradition Welsh Evening
When Debbie appears in her tradition Welsh garb, Dai shouts, “Crikey Moses!   It’s the old woman of Kidwelly!”
Cadno is forced to back down over the saddle
Cadno loads the saddle into the boot of her car, intending to sell it, but she is stopped by Eifion and Angela.   Eifion threatens her with court, so she relents, but warns him, “You’ll regret this!”
Chester chats in English, and Britt tries to mediate
Back downstairs, Chester has a phone call on his mobile, and lapses into English again.   Siôn is exceedingly annoyed, but Britt reminds him he has a bilingual sermon to prepare.
The visitors are having a fine time with Dai and DJ
At the café, much to Meic’s disgust, Dai and DJ are getting on well with the visitors, who apparently come from Ireland.   Dai has picked up some Irish words, and DJ lived there.   In the end they have a rousing chorus of “Sospan fach”.
Relaxing over a glass of mead
When the visitors have departed, giving Meic and Debbie a £10 tip each, the two hosts relax with a drink of mead that was left.   Meic says he will have no trouble sleeping tonight, and tells Debbie that even though Kevin is his son, he is not ready to see him in prison yet.
When Cadno is back in the village, Sheryl invites her to the flat for dinner, but Cadno is not in the mood;  she says she is moving back to Penrhewl, she cannot settle in the house, and Gwyneth will be coming back.   “I tried being fair, but I won’t let him squander the boys’ inheritance.   There won’t be a farm left when he’s finished!
Cadno is determined to get Eifion out of that farm!
I don’t know how I’m going to do it, but I’ll get him out, if it’s the last thing I do!”
