30 May 2014

Mark arrives home as Gemma has just deleted the distorted picture of Dani from the phone;  he is going to the leaving party for Patrick, his colleague.
Garry does not appreciate Colin's banter
Garry is at the shop, buying ingredients for a meal;  Colin asks if he enjoys shopping, and he replies, “When I get some peace!”   Rhys comes in, and when he hears the empty boxes there are for Sheryl’s move to the salon flat, of course he offers to take them over.
Sheryl does not need empty boxes at her empty flat
When he gets there, Sheryl points out that empty boxes are no good there – they have to go to Gwyneth’s house.
Colin sees a "SOLD" sign going up on his home
As Rhys went out of the shop door, Colin was incensed to see a man affixing a “SOLD” notice to number 7;  “Hey, that’s my home!” he shouts, then phones Gethin for an emergency meeting.
Finally, Iolo has the chance to tell them the good news
Colin is frantic, pacing up and down, talking of solicitors and Citizens’ Advice, but at last Iolo gets a word in and tells them he has put in an offer, and the “Sold” sign shows that it has been accepted.
Garry:  "I've bought the house, not him!"
When Gethin gets back to the garage, Garry reveals that Griffiths phoned him from Portugal, hoping for a higher offer.   Garry triumphantly announces, “I don’t know what Iolo has told you, but I’ve bought the house, not him.”   He warns Gethin to keep it under his hat, until he has told Dani about it.
Gethin does not spill the beans about "the new landlord"
Gethin gets back to the house as the others are having a celebratory drink;  they drink a toast to “the new landlord”, whose true identity only Gethin knows at the moment.
Dani suggests going clubbing with Gemma
Gemma goes to see Dani at the salon, where Dani is very busy, proving to Sheryl that she is capable of running the place on her own;  she suggests she and Gemma could go clubbing tonight.   However, Garry is preparing a meal for her when she gets home, and insists that she turn off her phone, so she is unable to contact Gemma;  he tells her that they are going to have a relaxing evening together.
Disappointment for Gemma about the clubbing
Dani is torn as to what to tell him, but when Gemma arrives and tells her that the taxi is waiting to take them clubbing, the truth comes out, and despite Dani trying to find a way out, Gemma says (rather insincerely) that it does not matter, and they can do it another time.   Garry tells Dani that she is too nice, not wanting to let either of them down.
Rhys is getting ambitious — flowers for Sheryl this time
Rhys turns up again at Sheryl’s flat, this time with flowers, and is adamant that he will help her unpack everything, including her many candles.
It is not long before Sheryl hands back the flowers
After a while, Sheryl has to spell out the fact that he is a good friend, but a “friend” is all that she wants;  despite his protests she tells him he had better go, and hands the flowers back to him.
Back home at Mark’s, Gemma feels slighted again, so once more gets out the anonymous phone from the drawer, this time to send an unnecessarily vindictive message to Dani.   After their meal, Garry volunteers to do the washing-up, saying that he finds it “quite therapeutic.”
A despicable trick to play on a so-called friend
Meanwhile, Dani discovers the text, and is very shocked when she reads it.
Garry suggests to her that they have an early night, and after he has gone to the bedroom, she sends a reply to the text.   A few minutes later, Gemma answers it with one word.
Dani's question on the left, and the reply on the right
Dani is scared, and looks across the room at the photograph of Brandon.
Dani is very troubled and afraid
