6 January 2014

Jim gets home and Eileen tells him she cannot carry on as if nothing has happened;  a week ago she was a mother with two daughters, and now they neither want anything to do with her.   She tried to protect them, to do the right thing, but only made matters worse.   However she says there is no point in hiding, and goes down to the shop, where she finds Colin has ordered low-calorie foods without her knowledge, so loses her temper, causing him to walk out.
In the café, where the prices have gone up, Kevin reminds Debbie that she does not pay any rent;  Iolo tells Kevin he is on a diet, and Kevin replies that he does a lot of walking.   While Anita is not looking, Meic uses her “CnocCnoc” account to ask “how to get rid of someone,” much to her disgust.   An answer comes back from Diane, “If you can’t beat them, join them!”   Meic announces to Anita that he is moving in with Debbie – she has no right to be there, and he is losing rent.   He will soon get her out of the flat;  “A day or two in my company and she’ll be begging to leave!”
Jim goes to see Angela, who makes it clear that Eileen wants nothing more to do with her, and when Jim tells her Eileen regrets saying what she did, tells Jim he is wasting his time.   Meanwhile Eileen goes to apologise to Colin, and they talk about how Christmas reminds them of what they have lost, with Colin still single and lonely, but he has two lovely daughters.   At this Eileen cries, and he tells her he is always there for her to talk to.   Back down in the shop, Jinx comes in with Arwen, then Colin finds a magazine article about Orienteering, and thinks that would be ideal for Iolo and him – to start an orienteering club.
Debbie is surprised when Meic moves back into the café flat;  he reminds her that he and Sabrina own the flat.   Soon she is complaining about his clipping his toenails and not flushing the toilet;  Meic smiles, as his oplan is working.   Now that Meic has moved out, Anita wants Kevin to do his share of the housework;  when Meic returns for more of his stuff, Kevin begs him to stay, but Meic is confident:  “By this time tomorrow, I’ll be back home,” he says.
When Jim tells Eileen that Angela does not want any reconciliation, Eileen thinks she is better off without her.   She goes round to Angela’s to thank her for telling Sioned;  in any case, she would have found out from someone else.   Eileen says she does not want any more fuss, and Angela takes this to mean Eileen does not want her;  she does not want to lose Sioned.   “There’s no point in keeping this, then,” she says, handing back the necklace.   Eileen sadly walks along the road back to the shop.
