Diane and Anita, drinking exotic tea
Anita visits Diane, and they enjoy expensive fennel and aniseed tea;  Anita says she is spending too much time with Meic, and it is dragging her down, like a disability, affecting everything.   She has found a website – “Eiriangair Hedd, Astrologer and Spiritualist to the Celts”, which maintains that the Welsh have a different make-up, and so need special spiritual advice.   Its advice, or horoscope, for Diane is, “Life is too quiet at the moment – embrace the sounds of the world.”
"Diane, aren't you going to answer your mobile?"
Diane’s mobile, on the table, rings, but she does not notice until Anita alerts her to it.
Sioned, waiting for the right moment
Sioned tells Andrew she is waiting for the right moment to tackle Ed about the money, but soon afterwards Ed shows her the details of his special savings account, which a few months ago contained £27,000, but is now down to £22,000, as he has been bailing out the Deri with it.
Ed shows how he has been bailing out the Deri from his account
“There is just not enough income,” he tells Sioned, and even when she is sure that the investment would bring more money into the Deri, his response is, “Or it could lead to losing the Deri!   It’s too much of a risk.”
Meic is not happy when he hears Debbie's plan
Meic and Debbie have enjoyed a meal of Pheasant Pie at a pub on the way to Cardiff;  he remarks that he intended to take Kevin there.   When Debbie reveals that she has brought the visiting order, so he can see Kevin, he loses his temper.   She insists she is only trying to help;  “You have to make an effort to feel better.   You have to see him, or you’ll be like this for ever.”
"Either you leave the café – or I will!"
Meic accuses her of going behind his back again, and says either she leaves the café or he will – that is what she has been after from the start.   He storms off back to the car.
Andrew tells Sioned that Wyn Pierce has agreed to invest, but then Sioned says that Ed has changed his mind.   Andrew does not believe her, but she insists it is true;  “I worked hard to change his mind,” she lies.   Conveniently Ed is at a Rugby Club meeting, so Andrew cannot thank him.
Meic is scared to visit Kevin in prison
As Meic waits by his car, Debbie tries to convince him of her good intentions, and Meic fears that if he did see Kevin, it would break his heart.   Debbie tells him that he is a good friend, and she was only trying to be a friend to him.
Anita, about to get the phone out of her bag
Outside the café, Diane rings Anita’s number, but she is just across the road by the shop, when Anita comes across and nudges her, she is very startled, and drops her phone.
"No, you didn't call out!" says Diane
Anita protests that she called out, but Diane denies it;  “People don’t speak clearly these days,” she complains.   Anita takes her to her house and looks up her symptoms on the laptop;  “It’s obvious you have hearing loss.”   Diane admits that one ear has been troublesome lately, but dismisses it, declaring that is what happens when people get old, and she will not see a doctor about it.
"Nefi wen!   How much did that cost?"
Meic and Debbie return to the café, and Meic is astonished to see a soft icecream machine which Debbie has hired, as part of the summery theme.
Meic is less than impressed;  “What next – donkeys parading between the tables?   This is a café, not Rhyl-by-the-sea!”   Debbie laughs, recalling this is how Meic used to be, always shouting at her, and asks who is having the first cornet.
"That's half the money transferred"
Later, Sioned has the laptop out and accesses the Banc Dyfed site, Andrew fills in the details of his account, then Sioned transfers over half of the money, the other half to be done after midnight.
"He'll thank me when we makes loads of profit!"
When Andrew wants to go and tell Ed the good news, Sioned is hesitant, and he realises she has done this without Ed’s knowledge.   She is still confident that when they make lots of money, Ed will thank her.
Meic gets home in a better mood than for ages, much to Anita’s relief;  she concludes, “The answer is to have plenty to do, making plans and helping people.”
Anita rings her ear-specialist friend
Then she thinks she will help Diane, and rings her friend, Gwyn, wanting to ask a big favour.   “You specialise in ear problems, don’t you?” she says.

Sioned's nocturnal assignation, unusually without makeup
In the middle of the night, Sioned, in her nightie and minus her makeup, is in front of the laptop, and is joined by Andrew.   As she is preparing to transfer the rest of the money, they hear Ed coming.
"I had a bad dream, and need a cwtch," says Sioned
Andrew hides, and Sioned tells Ed she had a bad dream and needs a cwtch.
Andrew is relieved that he has the necessary money
As they go back to bed, Andrew concludes the transaction, and breathes a sigh of relief.
