Cadno tells Sheryl the full story |
Cadno's call upsets Eifion's plans |
Eifion tells DJ he can do the babysitting job |
This frustrates Eifion’s plans, but, conveniently, DJ appears at the farm, wanting something to do on his day off, so he is tasked with looking after the boys, while Cadno goes off with her camera, allegedly to the doctor. Eifion rings someone to confirm he has fifteen sheep available.
Chester is really angry about last night |
After last night’s fiasco at the chapel, Chester is reluctant to go to school, shouting at Siôn in English that he is “totally embarrassed”, but does then go storming off. Sion is feeling uncomfortable – “Lecturing him about Welsh, and preaching in English – what does that teach him?”
Debbie is getting impatient with Meic |
At the café, Debbie is issuing orders to Meic and Anita while preparing for the second Welsh Evening. Meic is of the opinion that they should forget the whole idea, and they could freeze the food, using it in the café; Debbie says the tourists want the Welsh Experience, but Meic retorts that they can get that in the café from 8:00am to 6:00pm.
As the sheep are loaded, Eifion seems very happy |
At Penrhewl, an old friend, with his cattle lorry, is visiting Eifion; as he loads the sheep, Cadno with her camera is watching over a hedge.
Cadno is evidence-gathering behind the hedge |
When Cadno gets home DJ remarks that she seems much better after her visit to the doctor’s; he adds that he would like to live on a farm.
Eifion has made a nice little profit on the deal |
Meanwhile, Eifion looks pleased with himself, and looks at the wad of notes he has been given.
Britt is surprised that Siôn has been cooking, and even more so that he had invited Llinos Angharad to the meal;
"What are you doing here?" — not a very good welcome |
Chester is with his friend Kyle, so Siôn goes to fetch him home. Understandably, Chester is far from happy, and when he sees Llinos, he shouts, “What are you doing here?”
Llinos' explanation does not change Chester's mind |
She explains that her grandmother was angry yesterday, and so was she, but not any more. “Siôn, you’re so embarrassing!” exclaims Chester, and runs upstairs.
Poor Llinos is rather upset by this time, so Britt tells Siôn he had better take her home. He explains he was only trying to help, but Britt tells him he has upset both of them now.
Sheryl advises that a parent knows what is best |
Sheryl visits the café, where Meic tells her about Kevin being attacked, and that he thinks it is his duty to visit him; she says to do whatever he thinks best. She emphasises that a parent knows what is best for their child, as she has discovered lately.
Meic's decision — he will not be visiting Kevin |
When she goes, Meic says he will help Debbie as soon as he has written a letter – to tell Kevin he cannot go and see him.
Sheryl tells Cadno that she does not agree with her methods, but can understand why she is doing it – for the future of her children. When Sheryl relates how Meic is feeling torn about visiting Kevin, Cadno says that Kevin deserved what he got.
"Is this the best thing to do for your boys?" |
“Does Eifion?” replies Sheryl. “If he is caught, he’ll go to prison. Do you really believe that a father in prison is the best thing for the boys? Could you live with yourself, knowing you had done that to them?”
